Such a lot is happening in my life right now that I have decided to go 'off grid' for a few days. Don't worry - I am quite alright but much to sort out. I'll be back.

Dear Pat, thank you for letting us know that you’re ok. We worry, as friends do!
Sometimes we all need a bit of a breather. Hope to be reading your lovely stories again soon.
Hope all is sorted out logically and easily in due time. We'll be here when you return and I appreciate your letting us know.
Hugs!
It is our Thanksgiving Day on this side of the pond. I’m thankful to have you with me whenever you are able and feeling the need for our friendship, love and support which I hope you know are constants. Many prayers that your life is able to settle again soon for your sake. Thank you for letting us know. You just take good care of yourself.

Good-oh. Thanks for the thumbs up Pat. - Pam.
Glad that you are OK.. Take as much time as you like, but just a teeny post every few days to say you are still there? Hope you get everything sorted as you would like it!
Hoping you are soon relaxed, take care.
Take care.
I don't blame you, Weave.
Thanks everyone.
I have inoperable cancer - feel well at present but am back and forth to hospital which I find tiring. I have suspected it for a while. Once all the hospital visits are over I will be back in fighting form for as long as possible.
Love all round xx
My thoughts are with you Pat. Even though we have not met in person you are my dear friend. Jackie
My thoughts are with you too Weave. ((Hugs))
Oh Pat........I hold you in my heart... Much love and hugs debs
Oh dear Pat, I recall you telling me that you suspected that several weeks ago. Good luck and I've no doubt that you will stay as strong as you can for as long as you can. xx

Well I see you say in the post you are quite alright. That's the spirit and I hope your life returns to normal with visitors and fridge cleaning asap. Xx
Hugs my dear.
There are lots of us taking blogging breaks (or finishing) for one reason or another at the moment. Yours is a very good reason. Take care of yourself, we will all still be here when you decide to return and thinking of you always. xx
Well, I am so sorry to read you have the Big C to contend with! We will stick around with you as long as you feel up to staying with all of us! Just take one day at a time! ❤️
Do you have enough Kit-Kats? A well known mood enhancer! Take care.
So sorry to read about your cancer, Pat. Thinking about you and hoping for the best.
Weaver, I love you and adore your posts and am sorry to hear about your cancer. You are a light in the world and in my world. Give yourself lots of treats, well deserved.
Dear Weave, so sorry to hear your news. You are positive as always. We so look forward to hearing from you again when you feel able. Many hugs.
Wendy (Wales)
You're much cherished. Hang in there. Sorry about your news.
Hug from me too. - Pam
So sorry to read about the cancer. You are loved by so many and have so many thinking of you and sending good karma your way.
I am sorry to read this, Pat.
I'm so sorry to hear this. You're old enough to be my mother, and you have given me something to look forward to as I age. You are engaged and fascinated by the world, always curious, even as your physical world gets smaller, your mental world does not. Thank you for showing me that this is possible and something to strive for.
Take care.
Sorry to hear your news, Pat. But I think you have a survivor's mentality and if anyone can cope with this it is you, even though it might be tough. The most trying part of radiotherapy is the traveling and waiting - often half a day for a couple of minutes of radiation. I don't know how far you have to go, but when I went to Leeds every day, the facilities there are excellent and the staff and therapists very caring. Hoping you are soon back to normal and looking forward to more of your tales of the Mr Chubb and Tuck labradoodle walkers and your amusing and inspirational observations.
THANJ YOU ALL I AM IN TOP FORM STILL AND WILL TRY TO GET BACK TO POSTING AFTER THE RADIO THERAPY. FIVE CONSECUTIVE DAYS AND AN EIGHTY MILE ROUND TRIP. BUT TRANSPORT ARRANGEND FOR ME AND EVERYONE IN THE MEDICAL PROFESSION IS CARING AND SMILING. SMILES HELP ME ALONG AND LOTS OF LAUGHS.
I'm glad the radiation helped, shrink the tumor. It does work wonders, especially for pain control. Take care Pat.
Thanks ever so much for letting us know how you're doing! The medical staff likely appreciate your bright mind and positive disposition.I am so grateful and relieved to hear from you,Mary
I only found you in 2023, and think I’ve only commented once—about the Hound of the Baskerville—
but feel moved to let you know I enjoy your thoughtful posts so much and am sending all best wishes for your comfort … and joy … Why not joy too?! you have a gift for it, it seems.
Pat, you are an inspiration to us all. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Shocked and saddened by your news. I love reading your blog and hope to keep doing so for a long time.
Much love,
Margaret B in Perth.
I've been thinking of you and checking back each day for updates. You're surrounded by love here. :)
Take care, and update when you feel up to it.
I am thinking of you, dear Weave, but I always do. It must be very tiring for you making those journeys for the treatment, especially in this cold weather. I'm looking forward to your posts again. XXX
Wishing you well, Pat, please keep on keeping on. I always read your comment on the sidebar 'life is good'- very true!

Thinking of you daily, and wishing you well.
So glad to hear your medical staff are kind, caring and providing smiles & laughter.
Couldn’t send more heartfelt prayers and hugs and much love for all you have given to all of us and continue to give with your inspiration. As a cancer survivor I send you hope and wishes for the journey ahead. Above all treat yourself kindly and often. You deserve it! You are worth it!
Thinking of you and missing your posts. I love to read your observations about the world around you now, your memories of the past and the flowers that grow in your garden
Thank you again!!
Checking in here daily is a rewarding habit, it's so very nice to see that you left us another note a while ago , I hope something made you smile today,-Mary
Great to hear from you! Jackie
Prayers prayers prayers dear lady Brenda
Thinking of you and wishing you well.
I'm sorry to read about the cancer and those exhausting trip to and from the radiation treatment center. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.
Sending smiles and hugs!
I found you through going gently and have followed you for years. How could I not? Your intelligence and wit come through in your posts, as do your pragmatism and resilience. I want to be you when I grow up! OK I'm not so far behind you in age but we are always growing up. Take good care of yourself. Pat in Pennsylvania
Dearest WoG, What can I say that hasn't already been said by so many others?... Hadn't dropped by in several days, so the news came as a bit of a shock. You take everything in stride, including this new challenge. That's half the battle. You are such an inspiration. Thinking of you every day, sending healing thoughts and wishing you a positive outcome.
Everyone else has said it all. Just to send you lots of love xxx
Thinking about you this morning. I hope you are feeling well. Sleep and eat well.

Sorry to hear your news Pat but are an inspiration on how to cope with everything life brings. Thanks for updating your readers and I will be thinking of you as you undergo your treatment. Catriona
Good morning dear Pat. I'm back from the trip to Arizona and catching up with blogs and stuff prior to a day of Christmas decorating around the cottage. Rather late here and quite concerned reading your news......BUT if anyone can beat cancer it is YOU dear friend. I know how it is going back and forth for radiation, did it so many years ago, and can only add that it will be worth the journeys and days of tiredness in the long run. After all, you must get back here to keep us up to date with all going on in the world, especially in the English countryside. Nobody writes with such exuberance and honesty as you Pat.
I'm wondering if currently you have snow. A friend from California is visiting the Lake District and was snowed in yesterday - her video showed heavy snow falling and blanketing the the countryside around Lake Windermere. Apparently the locals are surprised to get that much this early too! It looks beautiful though.
Hang in there dear, you have so many people wishing you well and many more active years ahead.
Sending love from North Carolina.

Sending warm wishes to you , you are one of the lovely reflective voices out here . I love reading your observations on life . Jane x
Sitting here in Georgia USA with my coffee, I am thinking of you this morning. I need to remember to buy some Kit Kat bars when I shop, as you enjoy them so with your coffee or hot cocoa. Sending good vibes and chocolate wishes your way dear Weave. Jackie
I am thinking of you. Treatments plus travel time has to be very tiring. Knowing in 5 days your treatments will be completed and then you can relax in your lovely home surrounded by your son, friends and carers helps to move forward. The goal line is nearer each day. Hold that thought Pat. Sending love and warm wishes, Susan in Massachusetts
Thinking of you, wishing you well and a mountain of KitKat's x
I think the reason so many of your "fans" reply even though you are not writing is because we wish the best for you. Your blog is the most thought-provoking I have ever read. I don't take the time to continue tons of them anymore. Prayers for your recovery...and a Merry Christmas to you...we appreciate you and the time you take to write. Thank you my friend.
