Definitely Autumnal today - not cold but windy, cloudy, damp and as I am not moving fast at the moment I am needing the central heating on.   Although I am here alone I have just observed the two minutes silence - quite important to me.   There is a darling old man, Matt, who has collected round here for years and everyone supports him.

At this point a friend called and we stopped for a coffee.   Now two hours later I am trying again and struggling so shall not write any more today. See you all tomorrow.

Please don't feel you need to justify having the heating on, Weave. You need to keep warm when you aren't able to move around much. It is November, after all, and mild days will be few and far between. It's what your thermostat is for. Take care.

So nice to have you back Pat. We’d completely forgotten about the 11th hour and were out for breakfast. Everyone in the cafe observed the silence, sad and respectful.

Dear, sweet Weaver. Inspiring us all yet again! It's wonderful that you are at home, and having visitors. Just seeing that you posted certainly started my day on a positive note. Thanks for your effort, and please take care of you, by staying warm, and taking it easy.

Hi Pat,
It's both overcast and cold where I'm at in the US, working in my home office. Yesterday I plugged in a strand of colorful Christmas lights and routed them around my desk. Adds much cheer. Perhaps your son can do the same for you and put the lights on an electrical outlet timer. Warm Regards, A.K.

So good to see you back, Pat. Use your heating and keep your little bungalow cosy and warm. It's lovely to know that you have friends who visit; you must live in a friendly neighbourhood. Take things easy and get stronger. Love - Rosemary xx

Good to see you back and we have our heating on for an hour or so now, as my husband is sat such a lot so needs to keep warm.

You are lucky with your friends and neighbours and I am sure they are glad to have you back home.

So very glad to see your post and to learn you are recovering at home in comfort! We've one more day of unseasonal warmth here in the American Midwest, then the rude reality of winter will drop the temps. Hurrah for central heating (and favorite cardigans older than my neighbors)!

Any size post from you dear Weaver is welcome and uplifting.
"Hearing" your positive and soothing voice is wonderful.
Keep warm, rest, and recover.
Have a wonderful weekend!

A nice cup of tea and a tasty biscuit might be a good idea for you ... sit back, watch whatever you can on the TV and sip tea and nibble on the cookie!! Sounds like an excellent way for you to spend a cold, dreary day ... it's the same here in S. Colorado ... got up to a bit of snow on the vehicles!!
Good to see you back and trying to do your blog!!

I have just come home from an all day conference and so pleased to find your post! No need for many words at the moment, just easing gently back into your usual activities.
The nights here are getting close to frost even though it is still mild during the day, but it is November after all and I do not hesitate to have the heating on when I sit down for the evening.

So pleased you feeling like writing a few lines. Just take things gently and look after yourself.

I'm happy you're getting back to your normal routine and that you felt like writing this post! Something short is always better than nothing and you know we love you.

It's a thundering, wet day here and I plan to cut borders for a wee Christmas project.

Hugs!

Beth's comment about favourite cardigans older than her neighbours made me laugh. My husband used to tell his students "I've got shoes older than you". Keep warm Pat, and well. Pam, Aust.

Lovely to hear from you and pleased you felt up to a bit of blogging. Hope the new medication is beginning to work. The weather isn't bad for the time of year but some days are pretty dismal. I observed the two minute's silence too. I was part way through an online drawing tutorial but we stopped at 11 o'clock, so presumably we all observed it.
Take good care of yourself and keep cosy.x

Lovely to hear from you!

The Two Minutes Silence was announced on my radio as I was driving, and I was able to pull over to observe it. The current war in Ukraine with its brutal loss of life made it particularly poignant this year.

So glad you’re home and surrounded my friends. Do keep warm, your body doesn’t need to expend extra energy, being warm will aid your recovery.

It's good to have even a short comment from you. I'm glad that you are beginning to get back into your regular routine and am sure that you will be feeling progressively better as the days go by.

A cloudy day here and it's getting windy. A cold front is moving in. Possible snow showers tomorrow morning. Hard to take after the very warm fall that we have been experiencing the last several weeks. It is almost the middle of November though and so I guess some cold weather is to be expected.

Really great to hear from you Pat.
Yesterday our small local town held a Remembrance Day service at our War Memorial. It was really pleasing to see the students from the local primary school in attendance. Developing an understanding of and respect for the significance of this day is important.
Nice to hear that you have had friends calling in for a visit. Stay warm and cosy. Jo (South Australia)

It is cold here in Illinois, Pat. I have my heavy robe on this morning as I check my blogs. I am happy to see your post and glad you are recovering slowly but surely. Stay warm and safe!

It was such a nice moment when I opened your blog and saw a new post. It was a very pleasant way to start my morning!
I also observed the moment of silence by myself although I called my dog over to sit quietly beside me. My own long-passed grandfathers, as well as the young men and women currently fighting in the Ukraine, were on my mind.
