Saturday

No better = grey, cold and wet.    Friend W called and we chatted for a couple of hours, which passed a pleasant morning.    At least my computer sits next to the radiator so I am warm as i sit here chatting to you.

This week there seem to  have been so many car accidents round us - at least one each day and some days two.   One of the problems is that we live only a short distance from the largest army garrison in Western Europe and so of course near to a large YOUNG population.   This doesn't help.

Earlier in the week a kind reader sent me a link to a drone flying over East Witton F ell.   This morning I managed to get it and to spend a quarter of an hour happily zooming over it,   I wish I had not lost your name but thank you so much

After a busy morning I am off to have a nap.    Take care everyone - see you tomorrow,

At about the 4:14 mark, you will see a river extending off to the left of the Allegheny River. That river is called the Conewango Creek, and we live on the street that follows its path.

How marvelous to be able to fly over the Fell that means so much to you! Well done to whoever sent that link for you to enjoy.
It's always lovely to visit with friends in person, on the phone, or by Zoom.
Stay cozy!

Hugs!

Drones capture pictures like you would not believe. The technology is impressive. Stay warm and cozy. Winter coolness is definitely with us now.

Sounds like a tyoical Weaver day - a friend coming over for a chat, some time spent at your computer, a nap and no doubt something delicious for lunch or tea, provided by your carer.
I am going to check out the link Jackie from Georgia has provided; thank you!

Drone footage is fascinating, especially when it gives you a different view on places you have known from walking.

How lovely to be able to 'fly' over a favourite bit of landscape. I hope there were no serious injuries in those car accidents and that the other young men of the area will learn a lesson from them.
I suppose we should be grateful for all this rain and hope it is refilling all our reservoirs which became so low during the summer.
Keep snug and safe.

Is that Catterick? I spent a week there doing my CCF Officer training course back in the early 60's. I don't remember leaving the garrison.

Sounds like life has returned to normal all bar the walking outside which at this time of year was always going to be difficult anyway. Winter is not far away.

I used to have a link to a live camera at Totnes, when we were hoping to move there (my gran was born and lived there and the family goes back 400 yrs in the area). It kept me amused for hours, though I could never understand why these foraging Londoners who seem to have taken over the town, never bothered picking the huge blackberries I could clearly see.

Glad you had a link to the Fell and could enjoy roaming it from your armchair.
