Friday again.

How quickly Friday comes around.   As I am sure you know by now, I love my Friday mornings because I meet friends and we have a good chat.   Eight of us this morning - E back from her travels here there and everywhere, the rest of us turning up as usual.

We have now been going to the same cafe for so long that the waitresses know exactly what our orders will be.   We sit there for about an hour and a half and then toddle off to wherever we are going next.   In the case of friend W and I it is out to lunch - a new place this week to try - The Bolton Arms in the pretty village of Redmire.

I am rather ashamed to say, in spite of having been stopped driving because of a couple of minor TIA's I opted for sausage, egg and chips - a combination I have not had for years.   It was delicious - I am weak and couldn't resist it.

Since coming home I have cleaned out two cupboards and packed the contents into boxes and labelled them  - each time I fill a box I feel a sense of satisfaction and a little bit nearer moving.   I wish a good fairy would wave a magic wand and allow me to awake in three weeks time when it is all over.

The world always looks a brighter place after sausage, egg and chips no matter what the doctors say!

S. E. and Chips, great stuff and to be brutally honest, why you worry about what you eat at your age is beyond me, just thoroughly enjoy life as much as you can.

It sounds like a perfect Friday! Only 3 weeks to the move after such a long time waiting. I have been willing you on with all your sorting and boxes you are so organised it will be so much easier unpacking.

I would have ordered that. We are going to a restaurant tonight that I hope features carbs, and lots of them!

Sounds like you will definitely be in by Christmas then. S.E & C - plenty of protein there why worry too much - if you had that everyday then it might not be so good but as a treat why not.

Sounds like a good day. I had my day of company and events yesterday - resting up a bit today. I'm glad your move if getting closer - things will be more settled once that is done, I'm sure. I love your header. Simply beautiful!

Not a sausage person myself, but egg, chips and bread and butter I am happy with. Love the way at the Magpie restaurant you get B&B with your fish and chips, mushy peas and of course a teapot full of tea - did women really cut the bread on their chests, or is that a dream?

My cupboards are bare.

Sausage, egg and chips - a rare treat, and a little of what you fancy does you good.
The last few weeks are such a drag and I wish I had a good fairy to send you. Once you are in and unpacked you will be able to cosset yourself and have a little holiday at home. Not long now.x

Snow Parsnip? What's that? We rarely see it and when we do it is gone quickly.
(Hope I am not tempting fate here!)

No harm in having a big breakfast from time to time. I'd likely trade the sausage in for crispy bacon. Three weeks will slip by before you know it. -Jenn
