Wished my partner could afford the kind of carer that you have for her 90 year old mother. The two Romanian girls that she's lumbered with certainly don't provide meals or do half what your's do. Been a very warm and sunny day here today and I had several bumble bees and a Peacock butterfly in the garden.
I'm sure she gave them a piece of her mind - good fro her! I managed to get out this morning while there was still some sunshine and do a bit of grocery shopping - but that half hour, taking out the cycling and changing a couple of lightbulbs has done me in for the day so I don't think you should be so hard on yourself! I've started thinking about Spring cleaning - more decluttering and moving around some furniture but it will have to be done in stages In times past I would exhaust myself trying to get everything done in a week but now I'm resigned to the fact that it will take months but - since they announced today that my age group isn't likely to get the vaccine before June - I'll be spending even more time at home so it will get done eventually. Just take care and enjoy the lovely meals that your carer has left.
Ooow! I’d LOVE to have heard that conversation! What a gem she is! We had a run of scam calls from people saying they were from our internet provider and there was a problem with our software... Bill used to string them along for absolutely ages, before finally telling them they were wasting their time.
I hope tomorrow will be more cheerful for you. Your carer sounds like a real treasure. Those scammers are such pests. I remember getting calls about problems with my software so interrupted them and said my daughter sorts out all my problems for me and rang off.
You are all absolutely right about my Carer. She is a Private one and for anyone looking for one I do urge you to look around. She is not all that expensive.
I am so grateful to know you have such a wonderful and capable carer! She is a real blessing for you. I hope you sleep well tonight and have a lovely and sunny day tomorrow!
Sorry about all your rain, we could use it here in Tucson. How wonderful that you have such a lovely person looking out for you. The Gud Dugs send woofs !
As Librarian said, your post seems to have disappeared. I should love to know what your carer said. I often enjoy stringing these scammers along. The most annoying ones are the recorded messages which don't even allow me that bit of amusement.
Briefly back to tell you that my Carer told them in no uncertain terms (and language I won't repeat) to get off the line and if they ever called again she would inform the police. As a matter of interest I had no more calls from them yesterday.
Good for her. I used to be polite to them, thinking that they were just trying to earn a living probably in difficult circumstances. Now I am sure they are perfectly aware of what they are doing so feel perfectly entitled to waste their time, as they are wasting mine, or be plain rude if that's the sort of day I am having.
Good on your Carer! I used to be polite to them, too, but I got fed up of them. Be aware though, that it's not just one lot phoning from one number, there are lots of people wordwide up to this, pretending to be genuine. Never, ever give them any information, because reputable companies will never contact you in this way.
Your carer sounds like she is just what you need at the moment.

I am so pleased to hear this Weave. My congratulations to your carer.
ReplyDeleteYour carer sounds amazing. I am so glad you have her to keep things sorted.
ReplyDeleteYour caregiver goes above and beyond, seeing to your physical needs as well as mental. I believe she's more guardian angel.
ReplyDeleteGood for your carer! She is a woman of many talents.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy about your carer, though not about the weather.
ReplyDeleteWell done your carer. I have a very short conversation with these scammers, the second word of which is 'off'.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, by the time I have gotten round to look at your post, all I can read are the comments - the post itself has disappeared.
ReplyDeleteYour carer certainly lives up to her job title, what a treasurer. Your post had disappeared for me too fortunately I read it earlier.

ReplyDeleteMore than just wasting their time, they are crooks, criminals, out and out criminals, villains.
ReplyDeleteWhat have you done with the post Weave? One day it is multi-coloured and now it is now you see it now you don't.
