Guilty as chargedn

Yes, it was me - I admit it.   The reason yesterday's post was back to normal was that my son called in
and corrected things in a flash.   How did he do it? He went to my site, clicked on 'compose' and everything jumped into place;  I had accidentally clicked on HTML!   The trouble is that what I know about I can do alright on the computer - everything else is a foreign language.

Only a short post today because it has been a long day - lunching out (Caesar salad since you ask) and sorting out a lot of music.   Three walks for Tess and a bad night's sleep last night - so see you tomorrow.

  2. Glad the problem is sorted out with your computer. If I have one, one of my offspring have to be summoned too - normally Danny, as he is the nearest!

Glad you have a moving date now, and I hope it doesn't get altered. Living in limbo is no fun for anyone, and like you I am impatient. I am surprised you haven't put a bomb under the solicitor!! That would move him along a bit . . .

  6. Sounds like we're all pretty much the same with computers, soon as I get any kind of glitch I haven't a clue how to correct, which inevitably sees me loses my temper. That's also a reason why I stick to my good old basic Nokia phone, it makes and receives phone calls and texts - don't need anything else. As for a bad night's sleep, I have one of those every night, have to get by on about 3hrs a night.

  7. HTML is a foreign language, and one which I have no intention of learning.

  11. Two hours ukulele playing with friends and all your comments suggesting that we are all the same in our computer knowledge makes me hope for a good night's sleep tonight. Thanks.

  12. I love my computer - I have to do a lot of maintenance issues at work - it is my phone that leaves me in a state of stress so I can quite understand. Sorry to hear you are unable to drive - hope this is a temporary state and also hope you get moved soon so you can feel more settled. My daughter who cannot be far from your part of the world has just moved further out from Masham towards the moors near Leighton - beautiful views. Take care.

  14. I sort of 'know what I know' re: computers, and that ain't much, the rest is just hiroglyphs.

    Caesar salad sounds tasty.

  15. Sorry to hear you did not sleep well, I hope last night was better.
And thank you for explaining what TIA is in a comment to your previous post. It sounds scary, and I am glad you are having them investigated. Everything to do with the eyes scares me! My next specialist appointment is next Monday... already nervous about it :-(

  16. There are a couple of things you can do with computers ;) whenever I went wrong my son would say press the 'off' button and count to 20. The other is the fact that you can go back to an earlier date which will 'restore' the original.

  18. My youngest daughter is my technical adviser. I even have to take her to PCWorld to ask questions when necessary! I just don't speak the language. Hope you have a better night's sleep tonight.
