Since I have reached my eighties I have become much more emotional and after a good ten minutes of crying I am (almost) stable enough to write a post to say that my Grand-daughter has had her baby today. Weighing in at more than nine pounds she is a gorgeous little girl; they have called her Ula.
Congratulations, Great-Grandma!
ReplyDeleteDid you knit that beautiful blanket?
Oh! Fabulous news! Congratulations to you all, but especially to the new mum and dad xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. What a beautiful great grand-daughter. Welcome to the world, little one.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, to them and to you! The birth of a child is a momentous event, and one that anyone of your (or my, somewhat younger) age recognises as potentially dangerous, so I;m received to hear she's safe, and beautiful. She looks a very healthy size too. Enjoy her when you get to have cuddles! I love the smell of newborns - there's nothing quite like it, is there.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the young family, and to you as the Great-Grandmother! Wow, more than nine pounds, that's impressive!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the blanket, too, like Gail said above; did you make it?
Many congratulations, beautiful baby and a lovely name.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful baby. Congratulations to all, including the Great Grandma.
ReplyDeletePat, what lovely news you have brought us today! Lila is so sweet all wrapped up in that soft white blanket. Congratulations to the new parents, and to you as well. My goodness...how it must feel to be someone's Great Grandmother. xo

ReplyDeleteAs to the blanket - no I didn't knit it. My pram blanket in Wensleydale wool will be sent up by post on Monday, together with a couple of first size jackets I have knitted and which I rather think will ne too small. Luckily I have already knitted three larger size ones!Normal service will be resumed when I have come down to earth!
Welcome to the world, beautiful baby Ula! Such happy news!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, that is the most perfect Christmas gift. Congratulations to all the family, particularly great grandma who is entitled to react however she wishes.
