Much better

Thanks for the enquiries - they are most cheering and I am truly grateful.   I have had a severe viral infection with projectile diarrhoea (not a pleasant thing to have).   Being laid up for a week has exacerbated the arthritis in my ankle and knee - they need constant working to stop them from going stiff.  However, my blood is improving and so I am home and hoping to recover over this week.

In addition the infection has somewhat addled my brain, so any mistakes above - please accept apologies.

This week's walking is confined to back door to front door and reverse.

  23. Glad you are on the mend again now. That didn't sound like a very pleasant bug to have residing in your body for any length of time (despite it trying to escape by the sound of things!!)

I expect the stuffing has been somewhat knocked out of you so don't over do things, and take your recovery gently.

  33. Gosh - that was nasty! Glad you are over it - you will be low on energy as well as flexibility after that. I find I have to keep really warm (extra socks and gloves) when I'm stiff. Hope something works for you and you're feeling sprightly very soon.

  34. When I have ever been ill in such an unpleasant way, when it subsides, I have such a sense of peace and gratitude for the lack of illness. I hope you continue to mend and enjoy the walking from the front to the back door!

  43. Don't be like the American who went to the doctor because he was ill and the doctor said go home and have a bowl of chicken soup every day for a week and you'll soon be better. The patient said Doc, I don't understand how chicken soup will make me better. The doctor replied Sure it will, chicken soup has all the antibiotics you'll need.

Laughter is the best medicine, so they say.
