Lunch out.

Lovely lunch out at friend W's when her friends N,K and S came to stay.   Lunch is made up of S's favourite things so was - Roast ham, chips, new potatoes, cauli, petit pois, asparagus, sprouts - lots of mustards and sauces.   This was followed by one of her famous fruit salads of various berries, pomegranate seeds - a bright, jewel-like mix of fruits with ice cream and/or cream or if you preferred sticky toffee pudding (the original Cartmel variety) and then coffee.  By this time Storm Brian had sent us buckets full of heavy rain so we just sat and chatted until half past four when I came home.   Tess took one look outside and decided that she just didn't wish to go for a walk this evening thank you.   I shall now sit and read The Guardian and then do a few more packing jobs.   Tomorrow is another day.   Only 5 more nights sleeping here.

I've been waiting for Brian all day but I think he's trying to avoid me.

Wow, your move is happening soon. I like the feast you describe.

Brian has left us alone. Probably well aware that we get similar most days so why bother. Two years ago today so Facebook tells me I posted up the fact we recorded 113 miles per hour or whatever wind speeds do from the top of our lighthouse. Put your big coat on was the reaction. Hope the move goes smoothly.

Ha, and all I ate today were sandwiches

That was a lunchtime feast. Sensible Tess to decide not to ask for a walk when you got home. The countdown is on! Not long now.

Tomorrow is always another day and always comes with something new and different. This time next week the clocks will be changing and so will your life be, make sure you enjoy it.
Storm Brian came and it went but we're still waiting for buckets of rain.

It's like counting down vacation: only five more nights and going home.

Oh Pat, we move on the same day but I have been out of action for 2 days with a terrible attack of vertigo, feeling marginally better today. At least I can hold my head up without being sick. Thank goodness for family. Hope all goes well for you.

Thinking of you as you prepare for your move, Pat, and hope that you acccomplish it as easily as possible and as pleasantly as possible.

That lunch sounded a feast, love the picture of the berries, redcurrants glow like rubies. When we moved, and arrived at the new house, the moving van was parked outside. The men had slept in there overnight and we couldn't wake them up by pounding on the side of the van, had to phone the office in Chelmsford in the end.
