Our friends bought a limousine bull from the limousine chap and it is performing very well. Nobody does this kind of job for 'fun' they are usually born into it - as one of them says' farming is not a job it is a way of life'. This does not apply to the two barristers but I feel they are just doing it because they enjoy it.
Thanks for calling - and those of you who do - then keep up the exercise. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-14222940105503402102016-03-17T03:26:44.486-07:002016-03-17T03:26:44.486-07:00Not sure that as one gets older you have to exerci...Not sure that as one gets older you have to exercise, after all everything is beginning to wear down anyway ;). For most people, 20 minutes 3 times a week (on top of regular walks) are plenty, and enough, unless you wish to enter a team competing in some sport such as running, cycling or dancing.
I miss running; it's been far too cold for me to do anything more outdoors than walk, but I am hoping for a milder weekend. I'll be staying at a friend's house in the country and will definitely be taking my running gear.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-89270293153565007702016-03-16T23:03:11.142-07:002016-03-16T23:03:11.142-07:00Pat, I always, and please don't take offence a...Pat, I always, and please don't take offence at this, question why somebody of a certain age wants to get fitter - fitter for what - you lead an active, healthy and happy life, why do you need to be fitter.
As for the "This Farming Life" programme, I think it is the best farming programme that I've seen. As for it glamourising the death of animals, what rubbish, those people are simply accepting, in the best way that they know, that ultimately the animals have to die.
