Did you know you can take flights to try and see them. www.auroraflights.co.uk has details. There is a preflight talk followed by a couple of hours flight-time. Of course there is no guarantee of seeing them but its something we've considered.Ragged Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14090463834740346114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-68491754082901669082012-01-10T06:57:30.432-08:002012-01-10T06:57:30.432-08:00Thanks for the comments. We also have a light show called the Okanagan Arch that I have seen a few times stretching across the sky from northwest to southeast - usually in the summer. One of our sun who is also a sky watcher can be counted on to alert us to the Arch, and he has had some correspondence with more scientific people from other places who are interested in it.Hildredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05420791064923078834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-73766373791546429032012-01-09T11:13:07.141-08:002012-01-09T11:13:07.141-08:00My Goodness, Northern Lights and a most handsome ...My Goodness, Northern Lights and a most handsome Rooster....
I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights but I don't think that I will be able too.
I hope you will be able to see them with out the rough trip.

cheers, parsnipangryparsniphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236094827257446781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-19580570273263248992012-01-09T11:07:20.986-08:002012-01-09T11:07:20.986-08:00Oooh! The last time was perhaps 8-10 years ago. The lights looked like a big red powder puff in the north. I've never seen them when I was in Alaska or Canada, where the displays would be more dramatic.Carolyn Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03179182853082650546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-4963035971207896132012-01-09T10:13:22.611-08:002012-01-09T10:13:22.611-08:00I saw the Northern Lights many, many years ago in ...I saw the Northern Lights many, many years ago in Wisconsin (US).
