I understand from Rob Hume (RSPB) that there are now fieldfares which live peranently in Scotland and nest there. Perhaps they prefer the countryside to the city. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-54611308817470703662008-10-25T09:16:00.000-07:002008-10-25T09:16:00.000-07:00oh I love fieldfares and redwings, we don't seem t...oh I love fieldfares and redwings, we don't seem to get so many fieldfares in Edinburgh, but we do get lots of redwings.Crafty Green Poethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02486633917197181851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-33187885024808627892008-10-25T07:27:00.000-07:002008-10-25T07:27:00.000-07:00O wow gramma ann - pelicans - I have never seen on...O wow gramma ann - pelicans - I have never seen one' Thanks for visiting - you have a good weekend too - it is very wet and windy here. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-62540849047964257632008-10-25T07:25:00.000-07:002008-10-25T07:25:00.000-07:00Thanks for visiting Robyn We don't live so far f...Thanks for visiting Robyn We don't live so far from Miss Potter country - and the journey there takes about an hour through beautiful scenery. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-32115204394464981802008-10-25T07:24:00.000-07:002008-10-25T07:24:00.000-07:00am sure you get the same feeling when the trumpete...am sure you get the same feeling when the trumpeter swans arrive, Janice - it is the sense of wonder that they have flown so far and made it back to their winter territory. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-11789384934746195502008-10-25T07:23:00.000-07:002008-10-25T07:23:00.000-07:00Am having difficulty getting on to your blog, Anni...Am having difficulty getting on to your blog, Annie.<BR/>Yes - joy is the right word for what I feel when the fieldfares arrive! The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-11182040474729540322008-10-24T23:13:00.000-07:002008-10-24T23:13:00.000-07:00The tree in it's autumn glory is lovely. Today when we were out driving we saw a flock of pelicans. They pass our way each fall. I took a picture of them, but they were just a little to far away for it to be really good.
