It has been sunny here in South Devon, but we are one of the warmest places in the UK, although you'd not have thought so last winter with the falling temperatures that we had then. I shall get dressed and then take Tess for a walk before the decorator comes at 9am. I shall go for Sunday lunch as usual as he is happy to be left slone (probably pleased to be shut of me)and I shall not have to cook then. 3 Polyanthus in bloom this morning!!The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-37036367413772974032018-10-27T22:56:32.892-07:002018-10-27T22:56:32.892-07:00I dread waking up to snow. Glad you will have your cleaning lady's help to restore order next week.
We had a hail shower but no snow - thank goodness. It is cold though, and I shall be glad to get my electric fire replaced on Monday as it is not working. Not good timing. I have a radiator in the hall which is just outside the living room door and if I was really cold I could go down to the communal lounge.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06826501916623305535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-8779889469745956492018-10-27T13:03:22.438-07:002018-10-27T13:03:22.438-07:00Oh my goodness, snow in October! But then we're not 'up north' but in the soft south, in Torbay, where Victorians used to spend their holidays when they couldn't go go 'the continent' because of the Napoleonic wars!
I hope you will post photos once the decorating is finished!
Margaret P galanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14190356279359463949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-70517019953465847152018-10-27T12:58:31.171-07:002018-10-27T12:58:31.171-07:00We are finally getting so cool weather bit goodnes...We are finally getting so cool weather bit goodness no SNOW this early.
Happy that the decorating is finally making the room more you !

cheers, parsnipangryparsniphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236094827257446781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-17857433553337462872018-10-27T11:35:24.726-07:002018-10-27T11:35:24.726-07:00Mighty chilly even down here this morning. Indeed, doi..."...tired of doing nothing".
Indeed, doing nothing can be exausting. The same applies to keeping quiet, not talking much. I always do something; in fact, I do everything but.. I like my silence; it allows me to be more with myself ,my thoughts and feelings. When you're after retirement age you want to 'catch up with yourself', not run away from yourself, and not waste your remaining time on silly talks.DUTAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12979375799258978432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-55879412169480677592018-10-27T08:14:42.765-07:002018-10-27T08:14:42.765-07:00Cold and rainy. Sunny, windy and dry here now 15.30, and c.9 degrees. Just planted another 64 tulip bulbs and back aches. A glass of wine now in a conservatory that is registering 80 degrees in the sun, then a shower, then dinner then Strictly on the TV if I can stay awake through it.Derek Faulknerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05140363868104172311noreply@blogger.com
