There is an excellent small hotel nearby which serves traditional English Sunday roasts (Norwegian run - this is Spain after all!) but we rarely ever go. Possibly because we have to book up too far in advance, and have gone off the idea when the day comes !Coppa's girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16459503600694841117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-35488856207997308082016-01-03T22:14:38.946-08:002016-01-03T22:14:38.946-08:00That sounds like a lovely day out, and company com...That sounds like a lovely day out, and company come to visit too. We had bright sunshine and cold temperatures as we headed out for a day of adventure. First brunch at our favorite restaurant (they serve mini chocolate eclairs on the dessert table - who can resist one of those after a nourishing brunch?) - then a ride in the countryside and views of many eagles - a quick stop at the AT&T cell phone store to get my mixed up phone remedied and then a visit from our oldest daughter and her family - seems we had a similar day - it was good to get out for a bit - and now it is cold and snowing - so tomorrow is a stay-at-home day - maybe I'll bake bread, or make French toast.JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12621061028973446378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-57593651092808426852016-01-03T15:27:27.982-08:002016-01-03T15:27:27.982-08:00It has finally turned cold here and so I opened a ...It has finally turned cold here and so I opened a new puzzle and hope to get started on it soon. I hope the weather will not cause worse problems for everyone - we have had more rain again today and I seems we can all expect more in the coming week. The wether is delightful and we are packing a picnic lunch, hats, and sunscreen. The road is still an impassable muddy nightmare. Don't know how the village children will make it to school next week.Wilmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14717012784233946753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-47853941095091217052016-01-03T09:08:47.350-08:002016-01-03T09:08:47.350-08:00May you be dry, warm and comfortable in the New Ye...May you be dry, warm and comfortable in the New Year, P!Cloudiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05853753108637831069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-91668819094156531772016-01-03T08:43:30.904-08:002016-01-03T08:43:30.904-08:00It's taken a while, but the DEvon and Trent ar...It's taken a while, but the DEvon and Trent are just peeking up over their banks today, and with the heavy rain today, they will be over tomorrow.Simon Douglas Thompsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16331409652996600049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-42644055195219548492016-01-03T08:38:45.086-08:002016-01-03T08:38:45.086-08:00I do detest the mud and muck though I'm not su...I do detest the mud and muck though I'm not sure why. I guess it reminds me of decay. That, and it is a pain to walk in and deal with. A worker (our internet satellite system out) drove across our field in a cold rain last week and got stuck. Neither a truck nor tractor could pull him out so a wrecker had to be called. He didn't offer to fill in the ruts. Silly, inexperienced youth. Now I know why the animals have to be shut up for winter there. But, your days/life sounds very wonderful in spite of all the rain.donna bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13507579686738843451noreply@blogger.com
