I try to convince myself it's still Spring, not yet Summer.

Strangely enough, this has been the hottest Spring in the United States this year, but we in the Pacific Northwest have seen precious little of it.Lorenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03152302644577926337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-68737433863027777182012-06-08T21:01:42.827-07:002012-06-08T21:01:42.827-07:00One of my Grandmother's sayings - enough blue ...One of my Grandmother's sayings - enough blue to make a sailor a pair of pants... Too many really, but they are beautiful and cheer up a day of grey skies.

I hope the weather improves for your visiting friends ( and also for my son and partner who are on holiday in the Lakes next week!).Dartford Warblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04352965211143836326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-13374928373403343882012-06-08T13:34:07.904-07:002012-06-08T13:34:07.904-07:00Reporting from Wales - yes, very wet. I had to re-tie the broad beans as they were all over the place and Dick had to cut a lot of the honeysuckle which grows over a metal arch as it was top heavy and the wind was threatening to topple the arch and break the shrub. Very sad as it's just coming into flower. It's been more like late October for the past few days and we have weakened and switched the heating back on.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06826501916623305535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-82712376234745170182012-06-08T10:52:53.187-07:002012-06-08T10:52:53.187-07:00La Mamounia has been modernised - all the art deco...La Mamounia has been modernised - all the art deco has gone. It was closed down for about two years to bring it "up to date" and is now themed "North Africa" and the playground of the rich. It is a shame about the art deco. We bluffed our way in a couple of years ago and spent £100 on a light lunch for two. We spoke to some of the staff and were eventually introduced to one person who remembered the hotel in its 1930s style. My friend, an interior designer, was most disappointed about the changes.Rachel Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16053924416805878169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-48082733347760527372012-06-08T09:29:52.114-07:002012-06-08T09:29:52.114-07:00My Englilsh sister-in-law never trusted the weathe...My Englilsh sister-in-law never trusted the weather here in the USA, midwest.
