This is very sad, because when you only have contact once a year, how on earth do you know whether people are still alive or not? I intend to telephone the few that I have numbers for, but I only have addresses for most of them. And if they no longer intend paying postage for cards, they aren't going to reply to my letters, are they? Up at 4:30 AM all congested; but took some stuff, had a cup of tea, tripped over Josephine, and listened to the steady rain. It's about 55* here today. But only supposed to have a high of 23* Thursday with a low of 9*. Oh. Goody. <br />Always take my tree down on the 7th. Cards used to thrill me. Now, eh. But I do get excited about colored lights. Josephine left them alone this year. But last year, her first experience of lights, was another story. They were up exactly 30 seconds (no hyperbole here) when I heard the crunch of a taste test in progress.Maureen @ Josephina Ballerinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026799070718705353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-76729393275173919952015-01-04T09:51:58.369-08:002015-01-04T09:51:58.369-08:00Personally my day has been good but weatherwise it...Personally my day has been good but weatherwise it has been cold, grey and dismal and I shall miss the lights when the decorations come down tomorrow. She dutifully gathered the lot and started opening them on the mantle, but the adults in the room made the instantaneous decision that when the cards fall Christmas is over.
