Well I am managing to get in mostly.......

There are still a few blogs I can't get on to and there are still one or two where I can only comment as Anonymous but rest assured that I am reading them all.

Well I have just watched a couple of hours of Wimbledon and I would have watched the start of the Tour de France except I couldn't find the channel - I think it is ITV4 - if so perhaps somebody can tell me the number please (Rachel?).   I watched the Djokovitch match and as usual it was quite exciting.

Also I have been getting ready for my Grand Daughter and her husband visiting tomorrow along with my Great-Grand daughter Ula and my new Great-Grandson Hewie.   My shaking hands are very bad at present (Benign Essential Tremor) and I had been planning a few wrapped surprises for them as it is so long since I saw them (pre Covid) but my dear friend S stepped in at the last minute and did it for me (a thousand thanks S).   All I have to do now is to hide them around the sitting room for Ula to find (Hewie at 7 months is too young to understand so she will do it all.)

The other thing which has happened today is that I have had an e mail with an attachment to down load - a form to fill in to join U3A which stopped during Covid but is about to start up again.   I have totally forgotten how to do this simple operation so if anyone out there can tell me how to download a form which has come as an e mail attachment to print off and send in I would be very grateful.

One of the side effects of reaching ninety is that if one doesn't do things regularly on the computer one totally forgets how!

I shall now go out and walk up and down the patio a few times before it is time for Gardeners' World.   I dare not walk up the road with Priscilla with two black eyes - I don't want to frighten the natives .

I have almost reached the end of advising you remotely on how to do things on the computer unless I send you a cartoon drawing and instructions of how to do it and am reassured that you will keep it handy. Sorry, but it is isn't easy 200 miles away. Yes, I believe you can watch Le Tour on ITV 4 although I watch on Eurosport. On my computer it is double click to open an attachment. Just stab around is my advice, you can't go far wrong. Ditto for Television, run through the channels until you find what you what, or don't, as the case may be.

Channel 26 for free view, 117 on freesat. Hope that’s right.

Hi Pat, you should be able to right click on the attachment and then be offered the choice of download, print or save. Sometimes you need to 'view' the attachment before being able to print. Hope this helps. Viv

No advice here, just cheers for the fun you'll have with your grands tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

Love Rachel's idea of providing you with a cartoon drawing.
Husband offered to buy a hair product I'd run out of. "I'll never remember that' he said when I showed him the bottle, so I drew a picture of it to take, and coloured the package design in.
He thought that was wonderful, but I thought it would have been quicker to go and buy it myself! Good luck with your technology , the grandkids, and all the best for continued healing after your fall. - Pam.

You don't have to be nearly 90 o forget how to do things. I have 4 years to go and if I don't do something regularly, I have to write myself simple instructions to remind me.
Have a lovely time with your family and a happy weekend.

...just thought, why didn't he take a picture of it on his phone...getting older certainly has its challenges brain-wise for us, that being the perfect example.-P.

Since I've taken over grocery shopping here, I find that it works much better if I write things down.

Always remember, you are not the only one with these issues. I think we all have our little cheat sheets for doing computer tasks. I have a small notebook and keep my instructions on hand. Today my car steering wheel locked in my driveway and I had to use my i-phone to google the fix. A video popped up and it was brilliant. It worked like a charm.

'Forgetting' comes to all of us. Simply returning to the home I've lived in for nearly 40 years, after an absence of just 9 months, had me trying to remember where things were, how the TV worked, etc. It took a while!

I am glad you have lost your anonymous statue. Not sure if this happens with you but sometimes when right clicking to bring up something it comes up Asa pdf. Which will sit at the bottom of your computer asking to be opened.

We watched the highlights report on the first stage of the TdF on ITV4.
26 on Freeview if I remember rightly. We were disappointed at the increase in advertising breaks.
We have subscribed both to Eurosport and GCN...by mistake, I forgot the automatic renewal!! They are now the same company but still run separate so far. We prefer GCN for ease of finding what we want to watch!

Maybe I missed something but can you type your question into Google? You will be given many you tube videos to watch and learn anything. That's what you should learn foremost. That will answer ANY question you didn't know you had!

Wimbledon has had some brilliant matches so far, with hopefully more to come. Serena Williams vs Harmony Tan is my highlight so far.
