Yes, back home again after a "funny turn" in the middle of the night. My son rang the doctor and he sent the paramedic who promptly send me off to hospital as he thought I had probably had a fit. After the scan it was decided I probably had had a fit. I was kept in overnight in a pleasant little ward with three other ladies and then yesterday afternoon we were all sent home - after only being in there one night. I feel fine - I have had one before, a long time ago so I understand about such happenings. But I feel quite back to normal now so shall carry on.
Friends coming for lunch on Thursday. My treasure of a cleaner is cooking me a Shepherd's pie and another friend is doing buttered cabbage and other veg. I am providing the"afters" (Wensleydale Fruit Cake and strong Cheddar Cheese). It will be good to get back to normal although the little spell was interesting - the lady in the next bed was very chatty and we had interesting talks
In the time I have been typing this it has become a most beautiful day- light breeze, blue sky and full sun. All the Spring flowers are coming out - I have large patches of snowdrops and crocus in my back garden as I sit here looking out of the window. The situation in the Ukraine seems to get worse daily - the refugees, the suffering, the deaths and now this morning Ukrainian men seeking out men they accuse of being traitors - hatred seems to breed hatred in overwhelming amounts.
I'll be 'back to normal' tomorrow but just going to have a stroll with Priscilla now while the weather is so beautiful. See you then.

Curious as to what you consider a "fit" ... is that like an epileptic seizure or stroke? None of those are good!

I was thrilled to read that you're well after your scary episode. It must have been comforting to have been placed with other women at the hospital who had been through a similar situation. It always helps me when I can chat to someone who knows from experience what I've been through.
We Canadians, as with so many countries, rallied around the Ukraine. The Canadian public is being told to donate to the Red Cross which I will do today. I read in the Times that only 8% of the Russian public supported the invasion of the Ukraine, (according to a survey done in December.) I'm sure there's even less support now. I hope Putin is dying inside as he realizes how much this is costing Russia financially. He must also be stunned as to how quickly the world jumped to the support of the Ukraine.

It has been very spring-like here today and I have been labouring out in the garden. 3 hours - not like the all-day sessions I could manage not that long ago, but a good start.
Trying to avoid the news - just once a day is enough.

I was wondering the same as one other person who commented; were you dizzy, fell, or did you faint? But at least you managed to get in touch with your son, or was it via the helpline button you wear?
Anyway, I am very glad that not only did you find your short stint in hospital relatively pleasant, but you feel well enough today to go for a stroll.

Those unexpected hospital visits are never fun.
Almost ended up in the ER last night with Bob - his B/P problems are a scary problem lately - but he did a lot of deep breathing and popped a couple of his B/P pills, slept well, and today is somewhat better. A doctor appt. required tomorrow though!!!

Long ago I read that hatred is taught by adults or by experiences and have always thought that the saddest and most harmful thing.

Good to hear you're feeling better again. I suppose one of the worst things about Ukraine is that we all feel so useless. There is nothing we can do, but watch in horror as that dreadful man wreaks havoc. I feel so sorry for those poor helpless people.
