And so it goes on.

Day after day of almost wall-to-wall sunshine - we are getting used to it and it is lovely;  just warm enough to be very pleasant and with a gentle breeze. Because the warm weather is not being kind to my legs (they tend to swell in warm weather) I am not doing my long daily walk at the moment - just the walk round the top of the estate on the flat ground.   But this morning I really enjoyed it and met a friend and we had a pleasant ten minute chat which set me up for the day.   This afternoon I sat on the patio for an hour soaking up the sun and now it is early evening.

The day has been quite non eventful.   I sailed through the mind games as I do on some days.   Other days I struggle - maybe my brain works more quickly some days than others.   This morning I was up very early - before six o'clock.   I have a tablet to take on Friday mornings and I must take it, drink a full glass of water with it and stay upright for half an hour before I eat anyt hing.   Last night I put the tablet and the water out on the trolley by my chair.   Did I take it?   In spite of being up so early - no.   Not for the first time I completely forgot it until my carer came.   Now it is out to take it tomorrow.

Until then old friends..... oh and I'm sure we all wish John a lovely weekend in London with his friend.

Gosh, the Friday pill ritual sounds a little complicated. I am sure that I would forget.
With all our disruption recently I have forgotten my medication once or twice but have certainly been reminded by my body in no uncertain terms.

This warm weather was a long time coming. Now it's here I'm making the most of it, spending as much time outside in the garden as I can. It's lovely.

Enjoy the sun while you can - summer will be over before we know it. I have been up north this week - loved going back to old haunts

Bike shed - if you came anywhere near here you could have called in for coffee or even lunch - you would have been most welcome.
Sue - Lincolnshire summers are not always noted for their length so you do need to make the most of it and if it goes on for a long time then you can enjoy every moment. So can Rick providing he doesn't have to endure another bath!

It has gotten to the point that I have to set reminders on my phone for things like this. :(

I have to take a pill every morning 30 -60 minutes before I eat my breakfast so I keep it in my bathroom because that is the first place I go in the morning! But sometimes I was still forgetting if I had taken it or not so now I have a pill box with the days of the week so I am sure. Helps me to keep track of the days of the week too!
The rest of my pills are in the kitchen to have with food. Lots to keep track of but we can think of it as another "mind game"! :)

Unusually for us, we had two visitors yesterday. Firstly a Dutch friend has just returned from Holland, and she very kindly brought us some cheese. Secondly a farmer neighbour, who was at school with my two older children, came to chat and exchange news. We've known her since she was little, and she recently took over her father's farm. Busy day.

Ellen - I have one of those pill boxes with the days of the week and boxes for morning and evening and I do find it useful. Occasionally I still forget but then at least it tells me I have forgotten even if it is next morning.

Good to kknow I am not alone in forgetting.

Glad that you're getting a decent sunny spell Pat, it's been a long time coming.
I'm having breakfast sitting in the conservatory of a beautiful farm cottage on a lovely farm in deepest Somerset. It's a cloudless, sunny day and we have views across the Quantock Hills with nothing but farms and fields as far as the eye can see.

Oi, what's going on! It rained all day down here on Friday, though it looks like we're back to some sunshine today.

Good that you still go for a walk on days when your legs are not at their best, a shorter one is better than no walk at all. We have been working around O.K.‘s parents‘ house and garden almost all day yesterday, cutting the ivy growing on one of the walls, pulling out a self-seeded fig that was trying to split the foundation wall with its roots, and making a gravel path by the raised bed so that O.K.‘s mother (whose birthday present the raised bed was last year for her 80th) can access it without getting muddy feet after the rain, and generally doing bits and bobs we otherwise never take the time to do.
A thunderstorm and a good few hours of rain during the night, with more rain forecast today, means we won‘t have the family BBQ we have planned on their allotment.

Mt mother-in-law used to have that once-a-week pill. One benefit is that it makes dentists reluctant to do anything hasty or nasty.

Were you taking the once a week pill before the hip?

Isn't it glorious the weather, just the right heat and the birds singing furiously in the garden. That pill sounds a bit worrying hopefully you will remember to take it tomorrow.

A friend of mine who has just returned from an eight month stay in France received a text yesterday from the Mayor of his village there, informing him to expect rain in two days time. That's what I call service.

The warmer weather has been much welcome here, after what was a rather cold and damp May. X
