Transformation

Short blog today as I am late arriving at my computer and there were many things to answer first.

I woke up feeling not at all well - most unusual for me and catastrophic today of all days as it was six months tomorrow since I broke my hip and therefore six months tomorrow since I had anything done to my hair.   Covid has kept us all isolated.

Luckily, after a couple of coffees and a round of toast and marmalade, I began to feel a bit better.   My carer left and I intended to go back to bed and cancel my appointment but instead I slept for an hour in an armchair and by eleven o'clock felt well enough to go.

I had a taxi booked,  she was on time (it is only a five minute drive) and I felt almost back to normal when I arrived at one o'clock.

The transformation is unbelievable - my hair is short, beautifully cut and - although I know the blow dry will not last until next Thursday (my normal day)- I know the cut is good enough to make it more than acceptable.   Sometimes - like today after six month - I think hairdressers are worth their weight in gold.

So looking forward to my haircut tomorrow morning and so glad you felt well enough to have yours done today.
I feel unable to do anything at times, but sit and wait for it to pass and it usually does. We just have to be kind to ourselves.

Happy for your transformation. I am envious! We are completely shut down again, so it will be another wait until a haircut is possible (husband NEEDS it - I tried cutting his hair and it didn't go so well, so somebody who knows what they are doing is required). Have a good day, Weave! -Jenn

I love you Weave, and I am always heartened to hear when things turn out alright for you. XXX

Good news on the hair do. Like Jenn I will have to wait at least another month until we are allowed to get our hair cut. Mine has been growing since late November and is quite unmanageable at the moment!

Tom - I love you too!! You usually cheer me up.
Tasker - I have nver consideered putting 89 and 'stunner' in the same sentence before.

Happy Hair Cut!
You are brave and determined.
I've been cutting my own hair since I was in grade school. Still, it is nice to have it done at the beauty parlor.

I can't wait to get my hair cut. Believe it or not, it's been two years! I got very sick before the pandemic and my doctor suggested wearing a mask then and limit my activities in public unless absolutely necessary (like groceries and banking).

You inspired me to start thinking about tracking down my hair stylist. But first, it's the dentist for a cleaning.

I wonder why you didn't feel well upon awakening this morning. Glad you're better now, especially with your new "do".

Amazing how wonderful you feel on a good hair day. That happened to me once.

I'm glad you feel better and kept your hair appointment. A nice cut and styling is always enjoyed.

I've kept up seeing my stylist fairly regularly. When I called yesterday for a quick appointment, she's booked until next Monday. At 10 in the morning. I'll be there.

Toast and marmalade is a cure all in my opinion. I treat myself when feeling low. What bliss the haircut must be, I'm so glad you made it.

I'm so happy for you that you began to feel better and was able to get to your hair appointment. It really lifts the spirits to get a hair cut after waiting so long! I had my hair cut today too and it sure felt good.

Glad you felt good enough to keep your appointment; I hope you slept better the next night and are feeling your usual self today.
A good haircut can do wonders for our wellbeing! I have my next appointment tomorrow. Since last week, stricter Covid regulations are in place here again. We now have to bring a negative test no older than 48 hours to such appointments. I have a test scheduled for 7:55 tomorrow morning, so it will only be a few hours old by the time of my appointment.

I'm glad to hear your haircut has cheered you up no end. I last had mine professionally cut about 3 years ago (a one-off) but trim it at home, roll it under and any mistakes are hidden!!

Glad you got better, I think feeling ill every now and then is just one of those things you have to accept. And now you have a beautiful hairstyle - joy!

I am pleased that you have had a haircut that makes you feel so good. Do we get to see a photo?

Fine hair really needs to be cut often and well. I can imagine what a difference it made for you to finally get that taken care of.

And I agree with JayCee that we should have a picture of that good cut.

Can we see a photo? I'm sure you look beautiful! A good hairdresser is a rare find. I need one....badly.
