I had a walk round the top of the estate this morning - my winter coat on - it was very windy but I needed the fresh air.   Then, later in the afternoon, the clouds rolled away, the sun came out and it was almost Summer - the wind had dropped.   I took my camera and walked as far as the field.   Lots of folk I knew were sitting out in their gardenswith their books or the Sunday papers, so it took me a long time.

As I came up towards my bungalow I took a photograph of it in the sun.

We really need a few weeks of this weather now although I doubt we shall get it.   On our estate the sun brings people out and it is a delight to walk round and chat - all carefully socially distanced of course.

Yes, the autumn sunshine is very welcome. We must enjoy every day of it.

Very nice bungalow! Not what I pictured in an English Village at all. I read your blog every day although I hardly ever comment, sorry. But I do enjoy it.

Lovely home! I like all the paved paths that wind around your neighborhood so you have a nice safe place to stroll! So good you can get out in the nice weather.

Thank you for posting the pictures, I love them all! Your home is beautiful and it is nice to see that you have such good sidewalks for safely walking around the neighborhood. I'm glad you got some time with the sun today!

You don't have far to go to post a letter Pat!

We have been enjoying the sunshine down here too Pat, but glad to wear a coat and scarf! I had hoped September would be kind to us and she hasn't disappointed.

Walk around and chat is very pleasant but it's also very good for us to have the contact with others.

Lovely pictures and it is so green. I am so used to the brown of high desert that I almost need sunglasses for your photos. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks everyone for your comments. The sun is out again this morning but I haven't been outside yet to see what the temperature is like.

After a rainy weekend (and very welcome that rain was, too), the sun is back, but it is rather cold. I shall of course make use of what daylight will be left by the time I finish work and go for a walk.
Your area looks peaceful, nice and quiet, and your bungalow as neat and tidy outside as in. And it is so green there! A lot of the green has been withered during the long hot summer, and now turns to beautiful autumn colours quickly.

As someone else said, I love the closeness of the post box. Would suit me to a tee! x

First thing I noticed was the postbox being so convenient! How very lucky you were to find this lovely suitable house!

I love your home. How far are you from LONDON? From Stratford upon Avon? From Oxford?
