Sunday

Just the usual Sunday here with lunch out and a nice cup of tea afterwards.    After getting home a friend called to commiserate about the sad and sudden death of friend H, who took Tess for her lovely long walks.   I am still very upset by it, as is everyone in the road.   She was such a popular figure.

It does seem is if I might have found another lady willing to take Tess for a couple of good walks each week.   She is coming to see me tomorrow.
I very much warmed to her on the telephone after her answer to my question, 'would you be able to take Tess for two walks each week?' was 'I would like to meet her first to make sure that she likes me enough to come with me.'   We have arranged a time to meet tomorrow and Tess, of course, will be there.

We have rain this evening and it is really Autumnal; so much so that I have just put the central heating on for an hour before going to bed to take the chill off everywhere.   It seems we are destined to have a changeable week weather-wise after a spell of very dry weather.

It seems that Tess may be making a new friend. I hope you do too Weave.

This past week has been high summer, but it will crash to an end tomorrow. Not a minute too soon.

I hope things work out well with your new possible walker. We've had a spell of very warm weather in Ontario, but no doubt we'll be adjusting to cooler weather soon. Take care, Jenn

How sad your and Tess friend died. Was Friend H, the one who walked her around the lake ?
It is finally cooling off here, thank goodness !

The signs of autumn are here too. We will close the pool today; I can't see us swimming any more this year.

We had a very hot day on Sunday but I lit the wood burner in the evening. I hope the potential dog walker turns out to be liked by both you and Tess.

I hope Tess approves of her new volunteer. I've always rather liked Autumn so don't mind a little wind and rain.

Much needed rain here on Sunday evening and a changeable week ahead.
Hope it all works out with a new friendly dog walker for Tess

Hope Tess and the new 'walker' like each other. You might both have a new friend in the offing.
I have never embraced autumn as easily as I have this year. After two very humid summers it is a relief to have fresher conditions. My body hates hot and humid weather.

The heavy rain forecast for Sheppey on Sunday afternoon, never arrived - no surprises there!

We had a surprisingly warm afternoon yesterday and it is quite good this morning too, although strong wind and rain is forecast for later.
I hope Tess likes her new friend.

Yes things seem to be 'go' with the new dog walker. Thanks for asking.
