Busy Day

My family have been here for a buffet lunch today and I have thoroughly enjoyed their company, but now that they have all gone I am very tired.

Also I want to know how the cricketers fared, who won the tennis - and I hope the ten o'clock news will reveal all.   So sorry everyone, but no more post tonight.   It is ten minutes to ten, the sun is going down (how the nights are beginning to draw in) and I want to settle down and catch up with all the sports news.   See you all tomorrow.

Yes, the days are getting shorter but we still have lots of summer to enjoy. I watched most of the tennis match - it was a very long one!

It's nine thirty here and coming to the end of my day. It's been all dark the last half hour or so.

Good news at Lords and Silverstone; nothing much changed at Wimbledon or The Tour.

I watched the whole of Wimbledon while listening to the cricket on headphones. Fantastic result in the cricket. Then at 9pm, as it was a gorgeous sunny evening, we went out to a nearby heath and woods and watched Nightjars as they came out at twilight.

It is lovely when friends and/or family pay a visit, but I feel quite exhausted too when they have all gone.
Hope the sports news didn't disappoint.

I love having guests, but I also like the feeling to have my place to myself again afterwards. None of the sports on telly is interesting to me, but I plan to run the 10k City Run of my hometown this week Saturday.
