Thursday

After three days of solid rain it is now seven in the evening and the sun is peeping through the cloud - a watery sun but very welcome.

It has been my day for playing with two friends for the elderly in a local Old Peoples' Home.   We play the old songs and they really enjoy the afternoon - as do we.

Apart from that nothing very much has happened.   Everyone seems to be lying low because of the miserable weather.    Coffee with friends on Tuesday. yesterday a friend took Tess for a long walk - she was away for two hours and came home having had rather a lot of 'treats' I suspect.

Blogger has made getting on to my site rather difficult once or twice over the past two days but now seems to have righted itself.   Fingers crossed that tomorrow it will all be back to normal.

This wet and cold weather is horrid. I really would like to hibernate until the sun comes out but Rick has other ideas.

We've had a couple of very wet days here on Sheppey but not all that cold, in fact today during odd sunny spells it was quite muggy. The garden is lovely and wet and it will help out greatly with the weather due to be warm, sunny and dry next week. It might even get warm enough for people to complain.
Been working hard this last few weeks researching and writing up, the history of a long-gone church that used to be on the marshes locally here. Interesting stuff.

Nothing like a sing-song to brighten up a grey day.

I hope Blogger behaves itself now. It is quite frustrating sometimes isn't it? I read recently that music and singing helps those with dementia. Perhaps I should learn to sing before it is too late? Keeping fingers crossed now for better weather soon.

The sun is back here. Still blazing away at 8.32 p.m. Wind gone also. Forecast is for warmth. Hope it gets to you too.

Still gloomy here, no sun, but I have had a better day and hope it might get warmer.

The weather can sure seem to slow down our days at times. We have had on and off rain for two weeks here and now it is so cold it feels like November not May.

I hope the weather warms up a bit for all our sakes, though I daresay the rain has been good for farmers, gardeners and ducks.
I also hope that Blogger behaves itself for you as I love reading your posts.

That is always good to see the sun after three days of rain. Yesterday was my day to visit at the Old Folks Home, I am a volunteer visitor there. I am sure your music perked up their day.

It is raining and warm here, and lightening strikes reported.

Here in southern Australia where we have been in drought, I am just now listening with delight to the sound of rain on the roof - a really unfamiliar sound. I won’t have to refill the bird baths today!

Wet-n-warm here for the past 2 days, but this is OK as we are all busy planting-up our veg' gardens.

Well today, Friday, they are going to bury the young suicide chap, so both of us are on the quiet side, though it is a beautiful sunny day. He will be buried next to our wall. He has been on my mind these last two weeks, such a waste of life and loss to the family. But apart from that I shall get on with my weaving...

On the eastern side of this country three days of solid rain would not be seen as miserable weather. It would be seen as a gift from the gods.

Seems our weather patterns have synced, me being across the pond. Need some sun so the flowers can pop!
