For Sue (The Cottage at the end of the lane)

Be strong my dear - for his sake and the sake of your children and grandchildren.   My heart goes out to you on this very sad day.   I send you my love - I shall remember Col from the short time we spent together over coffee three years ago.

Thanks Pat for this chance to let Sue know that we are thinking of her and the family at the moment.
The photos that she has of them with the grandchildren will be extra precious now.
I hope that,in time, she will be able to have lots of enjoyment with her children and grandchildren.
For now I hope that she has lots of support from the people around her. Sue

Amen to all the comments and expressions of love for Sue. I can’t remember where I found her blog, but I kept reading it because I admired her strength and courage (Col’s too of course) and her determination to do what had to be done to ensure a normal and peaceful end of life experience.

Sue, look how many people "know" you and Col and we've never even met you except here in Blogland -- his grandchildren will certainly know him from the many stories that you and their parents will tell, and they will know how much you loved him and how much he wanted to be part of their lives, part of his legacy. They will know. And they will honor him, as we all do, him and you.
