I AM BACK.

Hello all friends - at last I am back on line today  and  after reading through my 427 e mails can now start posting again.

I am more or less straight.   The builder, the decorator, the electrician and the water board have all been and done whatever they had to do.   This morning the computer engineer came and put me back on line and any minute now the carpet layer will arrive to lay the dining room carpet and then I am almost there.    I cannot bear to be untidy and so shall be glad to be back knowing where everything is (more or less) and my brain will begin to function normally I hope.    As it is I keep mislaying things - this morning it was my front door key and I still have that to find.

I had a lovely e mail from Rachel in Spain - she sounds to be having a good time.   I hope she will come back in fighting form.   Isn't it good that we can give one another support when things go wrong?

Hopefully posting proper will resume tomorrow.   In the meantime - I have missed you all and missed our almost daily contact.   It has kept me going over the past few months.

What joy! I checked you site this morning, but you were not back. And then reading The Cottage at the End of a Lane blog I saw on the sidebar that you WERE back! What a lot seems to have been accomplished. Moving is such a daunting task, but you have accomplished it! Be well and enjoy your new home and location.

"Home Sweet Home". It must be such a comfort to be moved in. Settling in will take a while but feathering your nest should be fun. Congratulations!

I have looked for you every day, ever the optimist. You sound very straight and organised. I hope you love living in your new home and I was wondering how your little dog has settled in.? Make sure you keep your keys in the door, my son always says that looking for front door keys has caused many an accident and made it too late for some. Enough, enough, so pleased you are back in your rightful blogging place. Love Andie xxx

I missed you, Pat! But I was not too worried as I knew you were busy with moving and getting everything sorted.
I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to be untidy! When I swapped my bedroom and living room last year, I had to move a lot of my things around to the other rooms of my flat, and the only places that were not as badly affected as the rest were my kitchen and bathroom. I never spent so much time in my kitchen than I did during those two weeks!

glad to see you back and that your move went well. I was thinking about you the other day when my son asked me to babysit so that he and his wife can go to see the Ukele Orchestra of Great Britian at Norwich Theatre Royal. He plays the ukele, guitar and used to play the trumpet and bugle. Looking forward to reading your blog again.

So glad you are back and all is almost back to normal. We too have moved but I was I'll for a while as it was all happening. Getting g there but still feel rather like a displaced person. On top of that it has got very hot a bit early but a bit of a worry for the summer ahead.

So good to see you back on line Pat. I had a sort of feeling earlier on, and it suddenly came to me that you might be back with us soon.

I hope you can start to feel more at home (once the carpet is down!) and once you know where you put things away.

You did jolly well to wade through 427 emails!!!

Yay Pat!! I'd checked for you every day, and hoped all was going well.

You sound very organised already.

I'd get a couple of extra keys cut, and put it on a horrid, absolutely enormous keyring from the Cheap-And-Nasty shop - they're called $2 shops over here. I have the Tradesman's key on an enormous thing he just can't fit into his pocket. Works a treat!

Must go - appointment I can't be late for - SO glad to know you're doing well!

Very glad to see you back! I was beginning to worry that you a) were trapped beneath a moving box that had shifted unexpectedly, or b) decided you liked your new found free time away from the computer so much that you weren't coming back. Whew! :)
