Back problems

Deeply inflamed nerve endings on ribs has been diagnosed.   I am in pain and use of the computer is quite painful.   Keep warm and keep doing the exercises is the advice - so shall do that.   Back in a few days.   Snowing lightly here and bitterly cold.

Stay warm and hope you are better soon. (That means no snowball fights!)

Sorry to hear this - do keep warm and snug and get well soon! (I'll second Sue's comment!)

No snow here in Kent but grey skies and bitterly cold with the wind coming straight off the North Sea. Not enjoying it at all, I'm a warm weather person.
It's frustrating I know Pat but being warm and indoors is the most important thing for you.

Nerve problems are so distressing. From the outside a person looks fine, but on the inside nerve flares are debilitating. Rest and warmth work wonders at our age. Get well soon.

It sounds rather painful, yes. Hopefully, warmth and medication ease it a little, so that you sleep well - that is so important for healing, isn't it.
Get well soon and don't worry about your blog; we'll all be there when you come back.

Be well! Keep warm. Hope you have plenty of woolen things to help with this....Don't worry about anything. I am not surprised with all you have been doing as well as the moving! A good rest and all recommended should help a lot! May it be so.

I hope it's not shingles. If it is, a course of antiviral medication given as soon as possible can sometimes head off the worst of it. Stay warm and comfy!

My mum has suffered from this for many years and is prescribed Capsaicin cream by her doctor. This is derived from chillis and deadens the inflamed nerve endings. Perhaps if things don't improve you could ask about it. I have only been following your blog for a few months but enjoy your regular 'ramblings'. Hope you feel better soon.

Keep warm and look after yourself. I think that moving in is more physically demanding than preparing for it. We have weeks to pack everything then unpacking is a far speedier affair. Hope you have something to dull the pain.

Ribs hurt! It's amazing how many things we do every day without realizing that our ribs are involved. Take care. Use Tess for pet therapy! -Jenn

I hope you heal quickly; that is a diagnosis I had never heard of before your post. I find as I age all sorts of new health problems crop up.

Ouch! Take care. Seems that whenever there is a back or neck problem it makes computers useless because of the pain. Be well.

Is this Costochondritis? I've had two inexplicable bouts in the past year both on the same side on the bottom ribs. Horribly painful :( Wishing you all the best!
