A New Car

At last the farmer has come to a decision and has today bought himself a new car.   Ours is four year's old in a fortnight, so it seems a good time to update it.   No going round looking at cars for us.   It is back to the same dealer and the same salesman as before and exactly the same car but in the four-year-update version.   I am pleased about this as I don't have to learn to handle a new car.

Tess has not been too well today.   We had a large cottage pie made out of the roast beef from New Year's Eve and because her little pleading eyes were so pitiful I gave her some for her tea yesterday. I shouldn't have done so because she had an upset tummy this morning poor thing.   However, she is back to normal this evening and has eaten her usual tea.

It is my annual visit to the James Cook Hospital tomorrow to see my neurologist - we always go early to make sure we get a space in the car park (is there a hospital in the country which does not have a parking problem?) and we always have our lunch in the cafe - so I look forward to that.

Did the cottage pie contain onion? It is poisonous to dogs. Glad tess has recovered ok, it's always a worry when they are poorly as they can't tell us what is wrong!

We do the same when updating our car. Glad Tess is back to normal and I hope the outcome of your trip to the hospital is good, and that you find a parking space. Enjoy your lunch.

I'm afraid I just have to buy what I can afford when it comes to 'new' cars. At least we have a decent second hand dealer in the village.

I'm glad Tess is doing okay this morning. A new car! Now that is a lovely way to start the new year!

Poor pup, glad she is doing better.

I think we need a second car. Being way out in the countryside (as I presume you are) we rely on transport. If anything should go wrong with our single car, we'd be STUCK.

Hi Pat!
How are you? Did your annual visit to the doctor's go well?
I hope you are okay and that Tess is back to normal.
Buying a car was for my husband just the same as it is for yours. The same brand, only the colour could be different.
I hope 2015 will bring you a lot of joy and good health!

Well it is a exciting experience to get a new car, I have not driven for the last 5 years because I don't do automatic gears. Do hope Tess is alright, dogs are always so miserable when they are ill. Never knew onion was bad for them, Moss adored pasta and the last moppings of bread with the fondue cheese....

What a rocking way to meet the new year. You do not have to settle with what has been exhausted. It shouldn't be the end for your discarded car, though, because not only do you have a spare you can use yourself or you can even put it to good use. Anyway, thanks for sharing that! Enjoy your new car!

A new year, and a new car! That is definitely an amazing upgrade. What model have you decided to buy? I guess it’s something great, since you have that trusted dealership you come to every time. I would love to see this new car some time. Cheers!

I like how you’re sticking with a car that you’re already familiar with. It could take some time to get used to a new car model, and that could prove to be quite a hassle. Anyway, how was your annual visit to your neurologist? I hope everything’s fine on that end. Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great day!
