Good News

Well, I suppose most of it is good news.   First of all on the medical front, I have been today to see the Cardiologist and he says I am fine - just a few days on a heart monitor to make sure but he thinks nothing will show up. That's the trouble with 'one off' attacks, it is more or less impossible to diagnose what they are, whereas if I had half a dozen in a week they could quickly diagnose the problem.

On the weather front it is windy and absolutely freezing cold.   We still have an awful lot of snow lying about, although the roads are clear.   What is strange is that two or three miles to the East of us there is no snow at all, whereas  go further into The Dales and the snow gets deeper and deeper.   It is all set to last until at least the beginning of Easter with two or three centimetres of snow forecast for overnight tonight.

Here in the UK we are fairly used to contrary weather and rarely do we have a warm Easter (can anyone remember one?), but really, this weather is quite exceptional.   Keep warm.

Pleased to share your good news. I bet that's a relief. We have only 2" of snow at present but some nasty icy patches.

Very good news Pat. We have no snow but it has tried and is extremely cold. I think we all deserve a little warmth now. There is talk of a heatwave soon! That'll have us all wilting and gasping for breath. I just hope that those areas that have had heavy snow, don't then get flooded.

Good news. Keep warm though, most one-offs happen after a period of freezing your arse off outside, but only happen 24 hours later. Very difficult to pin point that much later.

I distinctly remember a new Easter outfit for church circa 1963/4. It was a new dress and a white cardigan, and it was warm enough to sit in a freezing church (3 times - as usual) without a coat on. Perhaps it was just that it followed on from a particularly cold winter!

Isn't it always the way when you go to see the quack ? I find by the time I go to the Dr's what ever it has healed and they never find anything and when they do find something they do not know what caused it or what it is , so much for modern medicine lol ! We have no snow left thankfully but the winds still have that winter chill to them. I remember years ago when my relatives in England used to laugh at us here in Canada cause they would have summer like weather at the same time of year while we were still having winter when it should of been spring . My uncle was a contestant in the home garden shows every year and always had a garden full of lovely flowers this time of year and would sent photos to my mum his sister to rub it in lol ! I don't mind the cold it is the damp cold I do not like , the last time I was in England the weather was so damp and cold as it usually is lol and I was aching . Hope all is well with your health . Have a good evening or is it morning there I cant remember you are 5 hours ahead of us here in Ontario Canada aren't you lol !

Every day seems to bring another terrible weather story from the UK. When the good weather finally comes, you will all appreciate it fully!
