Our friends from the Netherlands are coming to stay for a few days, so there will be a gap in blogging until Saturday, when I should have one or two photographs of nice places we have visited while they were here - weather permitting.
Sounds like fun but I hope you get some nice, sunny and warm days. I have been reading about all the rain you have been getting plus the flooding in Wales. So sad. Where is your summer ?
I do hope the weather will be kind for you all, although I daresay the Netherlands gets it's share of cold, wet and windy so they won't be too put out by our so-called summer. Enjoy yourselves.
If the mountain won't come to the Netherlands the Netherlands must go the mountain - or at least to the Dales. Don't worry about rain. They are used to it.
I am a widow for the second time - first marrriage 39 years, second marriage 23 years - both very happy. My second marriage was to a farmer and when he died the farm was sold. I now live in the nearby small town on the edge of Wensleydale in The Yorkshire Dales. My beloved Border Terrier died a couple of years ago - I still miss her but as I am 90 and need carers I shalln't get another I have one son,who lives nearby with his wife, three grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren..Life is good.

Visitors? How lovely.
Have a super time, and though it's a bit on the cool side at least we're drier than the South!

Have a lovely time with your visitors. I hope the rain stops for a while, although the Dales are beautiful whatever the weather.
hope you have nice weather!
Have fun and I look forward to the going along - when you post it.
