An amusing little story.
Not much time today, but a friend came for coffee this morning and told me this little story. Before she retired this friend worked for a well-known (nameless) high street store. Suddenly they kept getting complaints that all the crisps they sold were soft. They were puzzled until one day somebody noticed a little lad sitting on the crisp shelf with a pin and making each packet pop! Have a nice Saturday evening - and if you watch Strictly - settle down early for what should be a jolly good final, because I think these are the best three finalists we have ever had. My money is on Harry winning. We shall know later tonight.

Still chuckling over that story and admiring the magnificent view of the viaduct in the snow on your new header picture. It's a breathtaking scene and so starkly beautiful.
Enjoy your viewing tonight.
Oh that is funny you can just see him.Thank you for your comment Love Jill xx
wahahahahahahah....
What a amusing story !
Glad to know he didn't smoosh the bags so they exploded. But then he would have been caught earlier.
What I want to know is ... where was his Mum or Dad and does she shop there often ?
cheers, parsnip
Love this - when we were young we stacked our (what seemed like huge bulk) tins of food in the cellar on a shelf. All us children used to play darts at the tins, seeing if we could get in the centre, or on a particular image on the label. Of course when they were opened to eat, the contents were off, due to the many puncture holes, and my mother returned them, complaining bitterly and demanding replacements. We've only recently confessed! I'm going for Chelsee.
Ha, ha, just as well it was only a pinprick not an injection of germs.
I absolutely love your new header!!!! A beautiful composition and subject.
i think that you could be right about Harry,,,but I really want little chelsea to win...there you go!
I can just imagine that little lad with his pin. Brilliant!
How funny! Just like a boy, too.
I hope some of the snow comes our way; it's so brown here.
What is a crisp? Sorry.
Typical little boy behaviour. That's so funny!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Mixture of minor illnesses and commitments!
A crisp is a potato chip (or just chips) if you live in the US - Everything Changes. They come in packets, in lots of different flavours, and we seem to eat an awful lot of them.
ahhhhh weaver - why are little boys so bent on shaping the world and often not for good?!!!!!
i love the photograph of the viaduct . . . . . sigh. steven
Thanks to Rachel for enlightening US readers on the definition of a crisp - funny how we speak the same languagae and yet so many things have a different name. Glad you found the story amusing.
