IF YOU WISH TO COMMENT ON THE POEM BELOW PLEASE DO SO HERE - FOR SOME REASON (BEST KNOWN TO BLOGGER) THE COMMENT BUTTON HAS DISAPPEARED WITH THE ADDITION OF THE SOUND THINGY.
I can't remember what I said now Pat, but do know how much I enjoyed your reading and thought the poem was wonderful. I shall regard thistles with more respect from now on!
I can't find the poem on which I might comment but I agree strange things are happening in the blogosphere ever since they offered the opportunity to play around with templates. I'm not touching mine.
It reminds me of the way they keep moving things around in the supermarket. You think you know where to find the eggs, only to find they've moved as has the dairy case and the beans. I think it's in a bid to make you walk further afield and maybe thereby you will buy more.
my blogger problem is it has stopped showing Blogs I Follow. Very nice for trying to keep up with people! Is the poem meant to be chopped in the middle (I kind of like the effect, but I'd hate to be missing out), or is that too a Blogger glitch? (and I can't find the sound version at all).
Well I just have to agree with all the other 'fans' Weaver. Lovely to hear your voice indeed. Somehow it wasn't what I expected! A super poem, the cheeky thistle grows all over our lawns. I dig them out or up they pop again!
I am a widow for the second time - first marrriage 39 years, second marriage 23 years - both very happy. My second marriage was to a farmer and when he died the farm was sold. I now live in the nearby small town on the edge of Wensleydale in The Yorkshire Dales. My beloved Border Terrier died a couple of years ago - I still miss her but as I am 90 and need carers I shalln't get another I have one son,who lives nearby with his wife, three grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren..Life is good.

Blogger seems to have gone bonkers. I know of at least two people who have lost their entire blogs in the last week or so.

I think the implementation of their new design features has caused some glitches. Probably a temporary issue.
A mighty poem from a mighty woman.
Thistles may be maligned, until their beautiful bloom (or a good prick) silences all derision.
Thank you for the comments.
