Blog award.

Derrick of Melrose Musings has very kindly given me an award. I am very pleased to receive it and would like to pass the award on to some of the people I blog with. My skills are minimal. I am really pleased that I got it on to my side bar with only one try - but I cannot get it onto this post (sorry). i love all the blogs I read - and it is difficult to choose any one or other - all I can say is that if you would like the award then please copy it from my side bar - the blogs I especially would like to have it, are:
Raph's Ramblings (because I love to imagine that giraffe family)
About New York (because I love Elizabeth's photographs and I loved her hospitality when we met).
Napple notes (because I love Jinksy's sense of humour - she always makes me laugh).
Titus the dog (because Tess has nominated that one!)
Just back from a very wet walk over the Ribblehead Viaduct - photographs tomorrow when I have dried out.

Thank you for your slightly rain spattered award, Weaver! Once it's carefully dried out, I shall add it to my private gallery of blogawards, as I decided that hanging them round my neck was becoming de trop! Old age bends my shoulders enough, without 'gong' awards! Hope you have drip dried by now, and not suffered any ill effects! xxx

My sincere thanks to Tess, who I am quite sure is a dog of taste. We're all bowled here, thank you!
I look forward to the pictures and admire your fortitude in even setting off today!

Gosh!
I'm amazingly flattered. Thank you.
Yours is one of the blogs I always turn to for the sper writing and attention to those things I'm interested in:
books, poetry, history, family, English country life, dogs etc etc
I have to check Titus the dog since Buster has taken up blogging.........

So glad you did the walk in spite of the weather. You are obviously made of good Yorkshire stuff! You deserve the award - your blog is one of my top favourites, always interesting, informative and most enjoyable.

Oh the dreaded awards! Include some, but exclude so many! I accept, but share with all. I decide the rules on my blog and as I have so many lovely blogggeres/followers I can never pick out a small number.

Glad you didn't let the rain stop your walk. Congrats on the award!

Congratulations on the award, Weaver, and thank you so much for passing it to me, I am most honoured! The family all send their thanks and regards too, and a woof from Hals to Tess!

My system enables me to save the award images, but I can't get them to post up onto the blog. Having just read Jinksy's comment I am delighted - why didn't I think of this before - I can hang awards round my neck - there's plenty of room! I shall wear my awards necklace on special days!
