Lovely. x
Aww! Who built it, though?
Beautiful combination of photo and haiku, pat.
Thanks annie, pat and loren. Glad you liked it. The nest is that of a long-tailed tit.
What kind of nest is that?
Oops! Forget the question on the nest.... didn't see your post naming the bird...I think it popped up after I had left the question.
What a great photo! I'm going to have to GOOGLE long-tailed tit. I assume that is a bird? Our leaves here are just beginning to turn colors. We have no hidden surprises that are revealed. However, I found a bird's nest in one of my flowering plants. Apparently momma bird abandoned her baby. At first glance I thought the baby was alive and merely sitting quietly until I realized the baby was dead. Poor thing.
Thanks for visiting Debra' Isn't it lovely how our countries have sucy different birds. I find birds on Loren's site that I have never heard of. Long tailed tit is one of our prettiest birds. They work the hedgerows in Winter in flocks, twittering as they go.
Lovely photo! Interesting nest.....I've never seen one at all like it.
