It rather resembles the picturesque waterway used by Misters Mole and Rat of Wind in the Willows fame! Very pretty!

What a wonderful history, I loved the bit about the halfpenny bridge. Isn't "Beck" a lovely name? I would love to have a beck at the bottom of my garden.

It may well be the same saterway pamela - I must look out for ratty and mole.

Yes, Acornmoon, it is a lovely beck although when it was in flood earlier this month it became a raging torrent.

I can't believe Grahame stayed nearby! It really looked like the same little waterway I had pictured in my mind from the book! Pretty magical!
