It is quite unspoilt. As you sit there you become aware of several interesting things. Run your hand down the side of the pew where you are sitting and you might come across a wooden mouse climbing up towards you, for these pews are the work of "the mouseman", Robert Thompson of Kilburn, and his signature mouse occurs here and there throughout the church.
And you cannot fail to notice the highlight of the interior - a sixteenth century rood loft screen with delicate pierced tracery - a real gem and such a surprise in so lonely a setting.
