Makes one realize we all experience some of the same things (politics, weather woes, etc) but the issues themselves are somewhat different. Love hearing about Tess and would love to see her in her new, smart coat. Keep posting so I can keep enjoying!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05485815200598341397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-17774826105053632142019-11-03T11:00:24.180-08:002019-11-03T11:00:24.180-08:00coffee - 3 and almost 2.

Problem with fireworks is they have become more noisy. Our old tradition of hot soup, hot dogs with onions with our neighbour's bonfire party has been subverted to fireworks going off for days on end - but not here thank goodness.thelmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934860502828923562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-280582018791422638.post-37646804003081379552019-11-03T02:28:36.638-08:002019-11-03T02:28:36.638-08:00Bonfire night is 5th November but for convenience ...Bonfire night is 5th November but for convenience of organised events is usually moved to the nearest Saturday night. As Derek says fireworks start anytime from October and run over the given date by many days. Organised events started here in Norfolk in the mid 1980s. Prior to that we used to have a few sparklers, a Catherine Wheel and a some bangers in the garden after school and before bedtime on the 5th. It was very nice like that and no big bangs like bombs. I could hear it in spite of double glazing. So many people have complained about the loud fireworks but nothing seems to change. Beside pets, farm and wild animals being terrified, I always wonder how ex-servicemen suffering from PTSD cope. We had awful rain and galeforce gusts today but it didn't stop the fireworks. Maybe Nov 5th will be a quiet night.
