Saturday=

The sky is blue and clear and the sun is out.  But it is bitterly cold.   I put on my hat and coat to have a short walk with my walker along the back patio but it was much too cold.   I have not been  out for days and I am not absolutely sure that the patio is clear of ice and the sun doesn;t get on it in Winter.   So here I am at the computer with nothing to say on this afternoon.   The sun has just gone in and there is still ice along the wall in the back garden.   I am best inside in the warm but it is becoming frustrating.  If anything exciting happens later -I'll be back.-

"If anything exciting happens"!! I can't remember the last time something exciting happened. Although, 45 years ago I gave birth to my second son after watching the film "Jaws" at the cinema on the previous evening. David was born 2 weeks early - I wonder if it had anything to do with the HUGE shock that shook everyone in the cinema at a particular point in the film. Lol, lol.
Stay safe and warm, that's the best thing for now.

The last time there was great excitement on your end, we didn't hear from you for weeks! Can we agree on limited excitement, perhaps?

We have a sheltered sunspot just behind the house and it's been lovely clearing leaves from pots there for ten minutes, but the front of the house, which faces north, is freezing. Too cold to risk going out yet, perhaps? I don't think anything exciting happens to many of us, very often! There was a reporter on TV the other day saying that American politics was entering a period of 'dullsville'. Lovely word!

I just finished writing about a blue sky and sunshine on my blog, too. Honestly, I count that as exciting. I hope you manage to get out for some fresh air, soon. -Jenn

It has been very raw and cold here all day today Weave and no sunshine. A day for keeping in the warm. You have excitement that the press make for you each day in your newspaper and on the news bulletin you watch. They seem to be able to conjure something out of nothing everyday.

I spoke to my neighbour this afternoon who'd been out for 40minutes walking their daft dog and she had trouble speaking as her face was numb with cold! I got chilly just standing talking to her for 5 minutes - a really raw cold day but no rain which has to be a plus

Excitement can be overrated, especially if it involves our health. It can get dreary being stuck in the house alone, I live alone too, so understand. I did get out yesterday, my son gave me and Bounce a ride to get the first vaccine shot. Be well.

Pretty cold here too. Ice and a couple of snow flurries. Needless to say, I stayed indoors.

I think the definition of what's exciting is changing these days. If we have a workman over to repair something then that is exciting now. I hope the remainder of your weekend can be enjoyable. Maybe a good book or interesting TV program can help. Take care.

Very hard frost down here, and icy pavements. I managed to carefully pick my way for my little walk this morning and was glad to be well wrapped up. Lovely sunshine later - quite warm through the glass of my bay window.
The only exciting thing that happened to me was wearing what I regard as my best coat as it is the warmest thing I have!

Quite a quiet day but I really enjoyed the final installment of Michael Palin's Sahara as he travelled through Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. Also a jolly Zoom coffee morning this morning - so not all dull. Thanks for calling in.

Yes, the cold weather is getting mighty old here too. Meteorological spring is 5 weeks away. Some days, like today, that seems very far off tho. ~Andrea xoxo

Glad you managed a pleasant day after all.

It is good to read your day perked up.
The cold here, (Vermont), keeps spots of snow melt frozen slippery.

It's about that cold over here and half way across my country.

It was nice here in North Carolina. Our temps were in the 50s. I stayed in all day cleaning but now wish I would have taken advantage of the sunshine.

Could your carer have a quick look at your patio and tell you whether it is icy or not, safe for you or not?

Michael Palin's travel programmes are wonderful - we've so enjoyed all the ones we've revisited as well as the Sahara ones which we must have missed the first time round being out of the country.Glad you had a good day!

The trouble with ice on the patio is that the patio gets no sun at all in winter as it faces North and it just isn't worth the risk. Sorry I didn;t return but nothing of interest happened for the rest of the day.
