Tess

Tess, my dear friend and companion through thick and thin, was put to sleep at lunch time today -may she rest in peace and dream of rabbits.

Oh Pat, I'm so sorry that there was no simple cause of Tess's discomfort. I had hoped it would need a change of medication and reduction of exercise to allow her more quality time with you, but obviously there was more of a problem. I too have known the grief of having to make the decision to have a beloved companion animal put to sleep and have known the sadness of looking fr him/her and then remembering. I am overwhelmed by your kindness. It is four in the morning, I can't sleep because of my sadness, my computer is on the blink for some reason but am managing to get this thank you on before it goes off again. I know that, with the help of friends there with me I made the right decision - the vet thought that part of her brain had gone and she no longer knew what she was doing. I realized a couple of years ago when I lost my first dog that had been mine as an adult, just how intense the pain and sadness is.
