Thursday

A very busy day today doing this and that.   Cloudy all morning but blue sky by afternoon and almost a gale blowing so not all that warm.  It is
my hairdresser day so Tess and I went for our walk very early this morning.   When I came back I changed the bedding on my bed, washed it, hung it on the line and later in the day fetched it in and ironed it.   I must say that a spell in the fresh air made it smell beautiful and ironing it made it look so fresh and crisp.   Well worth the trouble although then making the bed up with fresh bedclothes from the airing cupboard is hard work when you live alone and there is no-one to help.
Still, it is done now and looks inviting to get into tonight.

There was watering of bedding plants to be done and Tess to take for another walk and then some office work cropped up and I had to do that and then Tess and I jumped into the car and took it where it needed to go.   By this time it was time for tea and now it is early evening.   It would be really boring if I had nothing to do but there is such a thing as a happy medium.

It has been wonderfully sunny and windy here today. I was able to get three loads of laundry dried on the line. X

Hot and sunny here today but with a stiff breeze which is making it very difficult to keep the garden moist.
Washed all the bedding and had it back on the bed inside two hours - no ironing of course.

It was a little grey early on but is now a wonderfully sunny evening. I cannot dry my linen outside these days as the honey bees from the hives next door deposit orange pollen spots all over it and it is impossible to remove the stains. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get rid of them I shall be extremely grateful. (The stains, not the bees!)

Quite a warm day here again but I believe it is due to become unsettled again quite soon. I am due another shampoo and trim next week.
Isn't it lovely getting into bed when the sheets are freshly laundered?

Strong West wind here. Not cold though. Any washing would have blown off if put on a line.

You would be at loose ends were you not able to take care of your chores. They provide order, stability, routine, normalcy....everything one craves when they have lost a loved one.

I'm so very pleased you are physically able. Being active has served you well.

Oh the joys of freshly laundered linen - seems so many of us agree. Thanks for visiting.

You were busy today, Pat. Hope you didn't tire yourself out too much. Take it easier tomorrow!

Crawling into a bed made up with freshly laundered sheets after a nice long soak in the tub is one of life's great pleasures!
