What a difference a day makes.

Yesterday it barely stopped raining and at several points during the day the water absolutely poured down my windows.   Today there isn't a cloud in the sky.   The sun is shining non stop.   There is a sharp breeze blowing so it is not all that warm, but oh how it lifts the spirits.

The garden is very well-drained and is quickly losing that waterlogged look, so I have high hopes for my plants although they have had such a soaking.

A day of doing many odd jobs has been quite satisfying and now, at tea time, I have switched the central heating back on and shall settle down to watch the News.   Not that that will lift the spirits.

It's been a beautiful Spring day and I'm now exhausted but happy following a day of fresh air. Let's hope it's a sign of more to come. Enjoy your evening Pat. X

It's been wonderful here too and it's 5.30 and we haven't even lit the wood-burner yet, which is the latest since last year I think!

I am in my t-shirt! I am so over the mud but I fear there is more to come (West of Scotland). Wishing you a lovely evening.

Nice that your garden is so well drained. Your planting will do really well.
Hope you have more sunny days.
It is in the high 80's low 90's here already and the air conditioner is on in the afternoon evenings.
Yikes !

cheers, parsnip

Glad to read you had a good day, and your garden, too!
The news are indeed not really made for spirit-lifting... I still wish you a nice, relaxing evening.

I thought of you this morning and hoped you were having a lovely day too. I had all the windows open for a time and didn't have any heating until about 4 o'clock. Whatever the weather does tomorrow, I have thoroughly enjoyed today.

The first really warm and sunny Spring day here on Sheppey and no CH on tonight - are we at last turning a weather corner.
Even found my first Mallard's nest of the year, with nine eggs, on the reserve this morning.

How completely funny, Pat! I just wrote my post for today about an hour ago, came back inside to catch up with you and my other favorite blogs, and found we'd chosen the same title and topic!

Hope you'll get sunshine very soon!

It will be over 20 C here today, then I see at least a week on rain on the horizon. Typical Spring/Easter weather.

A day of sunshine here yesterday too, and so far, the sun is out today, although it is windy. Our garden is soaked too, and all the fields round about. How exciting it will be when all your new plants start to come into flower.
