A picture (not a good one I'm afraid) of my Amaryllis - especially for Mary who has asked to see it.  I will put on a post later in the day after my usual lunch out with friends.

Thank you so much for sharing this dear Pat - it's a pale and very pretty one and I know you, like me, are enjoying these beauties at our windows.
Here's the link to my amaryllis post this past week if anyone would like to take a look -

Lovely picture and view.My brother inherited an Amaryllis that my father bought from Woolworths in about 1984 and it still flowers each year!

Such a beautiful flower. I love the light shining through the petals and the delicate pink markings.

Impressive and showy flower - ideal for the dull January days.

I attempted to capture the beauty of two amaryllis in my kitchen window--my camera doesn't do them justice. So lovely.

So beautiful, isn't nature absolutely wonderful. Not had any luck with my amaryllis since it flowered four years ago. the leaves grow every year, do everything the book says to do to it. Perhaps this year will be my lucky year. So love your little home, and the view out of your window is to die for. Love reading your blog. Take care. Enjoy your time out with your wonderful friends.

I enjoyed your comparison of today and yesterday. You wonder how we survived with wood and coal heat. When I tell my kids about this I have a hard time believing what I'm telling them.

When I was working in the office in the 60's it was my job to go up into the roof space of work and fetch "Mary Ellis" down from there for her annual outing onto the window sill to strut her stuff lol.
