A Good Tidy Up.

Today was the day to tidy up.   Not the usual sort of tidy with a vacuum cleaner and a dustpan and brush - no, my tidy was sorting my mind out after the long loll about over Christmas, sorting out the great pile of papers which lay by the side of the computer, ticking off the e mails and phone calls I needed to make.

Well reader, I have done it.   There are no papers by the side of the computer.   Several letters have been written, stamped and posted (it is really handy living opposite a post box), several bills have been paid.   I am up to date.   There is just one more file to sort and make two new files from it.   I just might do that after tea if I feel like it, otherwise it will wait until the morrow.  Enjoy your evening.

I have a crammed wardrobe waiting for me. I am not going to get dressed up to go out again! I have dresses which once swished round my ankles but having shrunk in height I would only trip up. Same with some trousers and jeans, tho the latter can be rolled up. Hope I do it an feel the same sort of achievement you are no doubt feeling.

A good job done. I always feel such a sense of relief when everything is done and up to date.

I think a good clear out is so energising. You have reminded me of the pile that I have to shred. Remember the days when shredding wasn't necessary? now we all worry about some person taking details etc. lol

When I tidy I tend to lose things - same with this computer. A machine that likes to insist I've got dyslexia. I just said I tend to lose hingis.

shredded
wheat
or two?

It must be the time of year for tidying. A couple of mornings ago I sorted out a pile of letters, statements, receipts, etc., which needed filing. I have just been chucking everything into a cupboard to sort out later. I was ashamed of my laziness as my son is coming to go through everything and tell me what I need to keep and what can be thrown away. I think we will pare it all down quite a bit.

Well done! All my sorting will have to wait until next week, when I will be back home. I'll also be back to work, so it is going to be done in smaller portions.

I need you as my secretary Weave.

Two shredded wheat if anyone is interested! And a banana. That is my breakfast every morning.
It does seem as though we all get a sense of satisfaction from a good tidy - and of course, if we do it properly, we can for a time find things again.
Thanks for calling in.

I wish I could be as efficient as you. I live in total mess, and cannot bring myself to tidy it. I am convinced that everything is essential.

My 'tidy up' session today has been to pack Christmas away for another year.
