Sorry but I accidentally pressed the wrong spot on John's (Going Gently) post and I seem to have messed the whole thing up.   As my son is laid up with a detached retina, I am just hoping that this works and also that I can answer some posts today.
If not hopefully all will be well in a few days when he is upright again.

There's not much you can do wrong with a computer Weave, and I don't think you have done anything wrong at all. Sometimes Blogger itself stops us more than the computer and the operator.

How worrying about your son’s detached retina.
Hope all is speedily mended.
Lovely photo of your walk with Tess yesterday.

So easily done isn't it. Things seem to be working okay now though
. I hope your son soon recovers.

All appears fine here - guess I should check in on John - his life is changing dramatically too!

Yes folks, whatever I did seems to have come right on its own. There is something in what Rachel says isn't there?

Dear Weaver, I thank you again for your visit over to my place. It's been grand to have gotten caught up on your blog posts. (I do apologize that it's been quite a while since my last visit.)

I truly love reading about your Yorkshire days, and it was also interesting to find out about all the other places that you have lived. Yes, making friends in different locations is a wonderful talent to have. The locations could be where you live, or work...or even right here in blossom. I have now lived in my current apartment for almost 30 years which is the longest stay for me ever since I was born. I do keep wondering if I can afford to stay in NY, but know that if I should ever give up this apartment I would never be able to move back to NYC. And so, I do have a bit of a dilemma.

Having pretty much lived on my own since 1976, I've learned quite a bit about that "condition." There is much I like about it, but also realize how much I do miss. When I was working a regular Monday through Friday occupation, sometimes weekends could be tough, since they did seem times that couples and/or families wanted to spend together. During times when I myself was involved in serious relationships I also looked forward to spending weekends with a loved one.

Now, in retirement, every day has equal freedom to make a plan, and that is a joy. My recent return to oil painting has totally changed my approach to each day. I love to meet up with friends, but sitting in front of the easel is also a joy. (I think it is my reading and blogging that is being set to the side ... even though I very much like both of those pursuits, too.)

Well what a long comment. Let's just pretend that I wrote a little of it in each of the comment boxes I have neglected.

My best wishes to you ...and lots also to your son. And Tess...and all those who are dear to you. xo

"There's not much wrong that you can do with a computer" - I beg to differ as my partner can testify. When I do something wrong on the computer, which is often, I normally compound it three times over by trying, impatiently, to put it right. That normally then entails a phone call to her to help me out of the muddle.

All seems to be well and you are blogging as normal. Best wishes to your son and I hope he is not finding his imposed inactivity too frustrating.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. You have had a technical malfunction. Do not pass "Go". Do not collect £200.
