Thanks for the enquiries - they are most cheering and I am truly grateful. I have had a severe viral infection with projectile diarrhoea (not a pleasant thing to have). Being laid up for a week has exacerbated the arthritis in my ankle and knee - they need constant working to stop them from going stiff. However, my blood is improving and so I am home and hoping to recover over this week.
In addition the infection has somewhat addled my brain, so any mistakes above - please accept apologies.
This week's walking is confined to back door to front door and reverse.

Blimey Pat, that's a pretty rough infection to have, glad that you seem to be on the mend though and look forward to hearing that you are fully recovered, take it easy.
So glad you're on the mend. Be gentle with yourself until you are well and truly
fit again. Thank you for thinking of us who worried about you.
It is a great relief to find your post today. I hope you feel better and stronger every day.
I know all your readers have been very concerned and send best wishes for your recovery.
Glad to hear you are fighting it off wishing you all the best and very speedy recovery
Nasty! Glad you are on the mend.
Glad to hear you're doing better, getting sick like that can just wipe you out, and boy do I know about keep moving or it gets stiff.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better - and I am feeling terrible because I thought that you had a computer virus. That's what comes of not reading more than the thumbnail!
So glad to hear that you are feeling better! Take it gently.
So glad to see you back and to hear that you are on the mend. Take good care of yourself and get well. Thinking of you.
So glad to hear you are on the mend, take it easy.
Oh my, that sounds terrible. I'm so glad you are on the mend now. Take care and don't push yourself too hard while you recover. -Jenn
Welcome back Pat. I hope you continue to get stronger after that horrid virus. Wishing you some fine weather to enjoy along the way, though this week already sounds a bit dodgy. Look after yourself.x
Pat you, and all the intricacies you kindly share of farm life up North, were greatly missed.
So sorry you've been so poorly - be well and pain free again very soon.
Mary -
I am glad you are home.x
Take it gently and give yourself plenty of time.
So glad you are on the mend, Weave. That projectile business sounds inconvenient. I hope you have understanding neighbours! X
Keep up that walking in your house, and eventually short walks outside once you are well enough.
I'm glad you're home, but goodness! You and the Farmer have certainly been through it of late.
Glad to hear you're home and on the mend, Pat. All the best . . .
Happy to hear that you are feeling better.
cheers, parsnip and thehamish
Welcome back and hopefully you will be on the road to full recovery. X
So good to hear you are on the mend my dear.....you are in my warmest thoughts... hugs! deb
Glad that you are feeling better Pat, and on the road to recovery. Take care....have missed you!|
Glad you are on the mend again now. That didn't sound like a very pleasant bug to have residing in your body for any length of time (despite it trying to escape by the sound of things!!)
I expect the stuffing has been somewhat knocked out of you so don't over do things, and take your recovery gently.
Good to hear from you again. Very good.
Drapolene cream is good for bum rot x
So glad to hear you are on the mend, that sounds like a really horrible bug.
Even just walking around the house will help get the ankle and knee moving again. Cheers to you
So glad you are feeling better....we miss your words.....they are the essence of all that I love in blogging!
Horrific things, those enteric infections, so feel very sorry for you, but glad you are on the mend and soon you will be back walking!
Weaver, it is grand to see this post from you, and to learn that you are home, and beginning to feel better.
Hoping that your recovery continues steadily. Viruses can be nasty opponents.
xo
Sounds horrid. Glad you are feeling better, keep walking around the house.
Poor you! I hope you'll soon be as right as rain again. Oh, and Happy Yorkshire Day!
So nice to have you back. I've missed your posts terribly. Hopefully, each day will bring a little more sunshine. Take care.
Gosh - that was nasty! Glad you are over it - you will be low on energy as well as flexibility after that. I find I have to keep really warm (extra socks and gloves) when I'm stiff. Hope something works for you and you're feeling sprightly very soon.
When I have ever been ill in such an unpleasant way, when it subsides, I have such a sense of peace and gratitude for the lack of illness. I hope you continue to mend and enjoy the walking from the front to the back door!
Poor you, but good to know that you are on the mend. Very best wishes, Cro x
I am very happy to see you back. May each day bring you strength and health.
Greetings Maria x
Good that you are feeling well enough to blog again. Sounds like you have had a horrid time. Take care and look after yourself. X
That really knocked you back didn't it? Were there others that had it locally? Hope that you regain your former health and get back into the swing of Yorkshire life.
When you "reverse" be sure to check your wing mirrors! Good to hear you are on the mend.
Glad things are improving. Not fun being so ill!
This is good news!
Sounds a most horrid virus.
You probably need to rest to regain your strength.
Sending lots of love.
Goodness that sound horrendous. Get Well soon. Don't try too much too quickly. Tx
Don't be like the American who went to the doctor because he was ill and the doctor said go home and have a bowl of chicken soup every day for a week and you'll soon be better. The patient said Doc, I don't understand how chicken soup will make me better. The doctor replied Sure it will, chicken soup has all the antibiotics you'll need.
Laughter is the best medicine, so they say.
Oh my goodness! That sounds awful.
Sending love and healing thoughts across "the pond"...
So glad to see that you're up to posting once more.
Thanks to you all - your comments have cheered me no end.
Oh and John - you really do say the nicest things!!!
Good to know you are feeling better, and up and about again.
