My posts have been a bit haphazard this week as I have been very busy. Today is 'hair day' (very important for people with unruly hair like me). But this afternoon a friend suggested that we went over to Teesside Park shopping centre to a large Marks and Spencer - and I never turn down an offer like that, especially as tomorrow we are going to KirbyLonsdale to meet our friends (weather permitting as it means going over the wa tershed of the Pennines).
But my real 'busy' time has come about because a friend asked me if I would edit some written material for him. It has been like being back in teaching again and I have really enjoyed doing it - going through the stuff line by line and suggesting alternatives etc.
I am still only half way through the project, but as the weather forecast is for the weather getting worse over the week-end then I might get the project finished.
Back home now, the dishwasher emptied, the dog and cats fed, all the food I bought put away either in the fridge or in the freezer - so now ready to sit down and put my feet up. Nighty=night.

Most of my days are like yours ( minus the hair thing) typically the prof always picks up on the ONE job thats not done
I've had not one but two lovely meals. Must run a thousand km tomorrow or else I'm going to be an oinker!
It's good to be busy, especially if part of that busyness is something you find stimulating and enjoyable. Sleep well, sweet dreams and enjoy your day tomorrow.
Exercising the brain too today eh Weave ? I have curly hair which gets frizzier and dryer the older I get. It was always unruly, but it is now a disaster ! I keep it short to keep it tamed.

Kirby Lonsdale is one of my favorite places. Great bacon buttes by Devils Bridge. Maybe they still do them.
I recall learning, in an elementary school classroom, that the Great American Desert was the result of incoming weather from the Pacific not clearing the Rocky Mountains. The first time I encountered the Pennines in my childhood reading, probably Herriot's classics, I saw them as creating the same phenomena. One of life's little watersheds.
Editing sounds like such and interesting job. You do stay busy.
You do keep busy in very interesting ways! I enjoy seeing what you are up to day each day.
Will you be purchasing some water from the Pennine water shed? Do you need to take your own containers? Californian folk refer to Los Angeles as LA but do Westmorland folk refer to Kirby Lonsdale as KL?... "Hey Maureen, I am just nipping into KL for a pint" etc.
I love any kind of assignment that has to do with language, be it editing, translating or writing.
For about a year now, I've not had any translation work come my way (it is not my main business, more like a paid hobby for me), but this week, an old customer of mine has come up with a new assignment for me. I am really enjoying it!
Hair day here for me today - every four weeks, I have my roots done. If it weren't for that, I'd be completely grey/white, which is not what I want just yet. I'm only 47, after all.
I hope you enjoyed your busy day. I have just been catching up on blogs as I have a day off and just read your yesterday's post and have left a comment. I had the copy of the Times at home but had not opened it. A day for catching up for me.
How I love editing things!
What fun.
Night night!
You sound SO thrilled to be asked to do that editing, and I am sure it is making you feel needed too! It's nice to be useful and to give your brain some exercise. I've been doing some on-line brain exercises and my brain soon gets very enthusiastic indeed!
