Busy, busy.

The farmer has decided that it is worth the risk to make hay this week as the weather looks as though it will be fairly dry.   So the first field was cut this morning.   It is his favourite activity and I must say that as the field is right next to the house the smell of cut grass is lovely.

He surprised Mrs Pheasant and eight babies in mid-field when he was mowing, but luckily he saw her in time and went round her, intending to go back and cut that bit later on today.

Washing and ironing has taken up a large part of the day - shirts take a lot of ironing (OK I know some of you don't iron but I am old-fashioned) and at last I have them all up on the airer - job done.

Some of you have asked for a photograph of the bride full face.  I didn't take many of the wedding at all - I didn't even get one with the bride and her Dad together - but I am hoping that the official photograph got one.

In the meantime, here is one of the happy couple signing the register in the civic hall - don't they look happy?

With typos corrected this time I hope? Lovely photo. And I would love you to put your header on Redbubble website for me to buy as a postcard! Evokes the feel of burgeoning spring/summer in Britain. Here I'm doing a season on wet fallen autumn leaves. Jean

Oh Pat, I am enjoying your wedding pictures, - there is nothing as romantic and beautiful as a Scottish wedding, - my sister married a piper who led the young Edmonton pipe band, - pipes and tartans and heather all around. They left the church under a line of crossed pipes.... My two oldest were very young at that time, but were part of the wedding party and I often look at pictures of that particular wedding and think how lovely it was. My best to your granddaughter and her husband, and I think your Grandson looks delightful in his Scottish array... Hope all goes well with the haying, - my son from the Chilcotin meadow is on the lookout today for an old sickle mower to do some special hay, which I don't understand but perhaps the Farmer might....

So charming, I wish them a long and happy life together.

Tell the Farmer "thanks" for saving the pheasants - he's a rare breed himself to be sure!!!!

Ironing - love it - just did Bob's ten shirts from the trip - I always "think" whilst ironing, don't like talking, just being quiet and concentrating on life.
