I'm back!!

By now you must have thought that I had either died or gone away on holiday. Well you can see now that it is the latter! No chance of getting travel insurance at the moment meant a holiday in this country and we have had a lovely time. Only came back late yesterday so little time to blog until the cases are unpacked and the washing done.

So in the meantime here is a photograph of the view from our hotel bedroom window at the first hotel we stayed in. Anybody like to have a guess in which city we began our holiday?

More holiday snaps will follow - sorry but it should take me through the first few days before I get back into the routine. Hope you are all well and still blogging.

I haven't been here for a while so it's been good catching up today. Always nice to have a change of scenery. Sorry to say I don't have a clue as to where you were.

I've been away too for a while, not far just overwhelmed with work and other preoccupations. It's lovely to see you back after such a holiday.

So good to have you back. No clue what I am looking at in the picture, it is beautiful though. Oh my -- My word verification is "hogreaff" Sounds like something Ogden Nash would come up with...

I had begun to wonder where you'd got to, but it's just great to have you back - and so quickly into blogging harness too! Lovely photograph - as always - and a splendid image for the header, by the way. Look forward to seeing more holiday photographs.

That's Lincoln. (I used to live just round the corner and had to walk past that every day on my way to work.)

Not the Lincoln Hotel tough - tat would have been a view of teh other side. You're at the top of Steep Hill

Welcome back - so glad you were holidaying and not languishing in a sick bed! I would say Yorkminster, but then maybe Lincoln, and I haven't got time to go and check as I am off to do my stint at the Bargain Centre. Will look forward to more lovely pictures.

Please excuse the lack of H in my last comment. I seem to have a sticky key on my laptop.

Well done to everyone who got it.
Thank you for your concern. We had a lovely holiday but it is always nice to be back. This morning blogger has decided to play up and it has taken me ages to get this done.

Welcome home, Pat, and thank you for the Lincoln Cathedral photos. That fan vaulting! Is there better in any British cathedral?

Lovely to have you back Weaver. I have to say Lincoln; husband has been there 'on enquiries' and managed to fit a tour of the cathedral into his investigations!
Hope you had a wonderful time.
