Oh dear.

Need I say more. This photograph was taken at 9am this morning standing on my front doorstep. It is now 3pm and although the snow is now going it is wet, foggy and horrible. I am off to sit by stove and get warm.

Just for once, your forecast was right

Oh Pat - I must stop moaning. At least we haven't had more snow and I have just noticed a tiny patch of blue sky, and it does seem less cold than yesterday. Make a cuppa and reach for one of your favourite books if you haven't already done so. We will feel the sun on our backs again - one day!

Weather report is for snow for western Washington, USA for next week, too. Sheesh.

We've lit the fire and I'm reading my novel and Alan is watching the football! I was going to start in the herb garden and tidy it up...
best laid plans and all that.

Our Winter rain an snow are very important in Tucson, Arizona and we have had too little this year.
We only have a very small window for our winter storms and the jet stream is reeking havoc with us this year.
The forecast is possible rain this afternoon. I hope that storm front does come.
It will be a very dry year if we don't get some rain soon.

You have too much and we have had too little.

cheers, parsnip

Oh noooo! The forecasts we had for snow haven't come true...yet where we live at lower elevations. Today we have low temps but clear blue skies and squinty-making sunshine outside. My crocus are blooming which is a welcome sight.

Here in the Montreal area we had a two days where the temperature went above freezing. Just a faint tease of spring though, typically this is the month of big snow. Sure enough the deep freeze (well not quite) moved in last night and it's part sun, part snow squall and miserably cold today. Spring is still too far away for my liking. ATB!

I did NOT need to see that :) We're warmish here, but they're calling for snow flurries next week. Sigh.

I thought that we were finished with snow here on Long Island, but it is in the coming forecast for the week! *sign* We are all tired of it too. It was terribly windy for the last two days, 50 mph gusts. When will it end?

It looks much the same in our garden - but then it would wouldn't it?

Same here Weaver. And not much better to come!
They said because of the massive solar flares we'd be able to see the Northern Lights for the next few days. If the cloud ever shifts...

Not just winter, here in Oz we have had a strange summer, here in the normally hot and dry south we have had lovely mild temperatures and more rain than usual, more cyclones to the north means more rain for the south, for once my garden is loving summer.

"Oh dear" indeed! I hope that it won`t last so long this time around. Snow makes life so difficult when you are responsible for a farm or for animals that live outside.

We have had a cold east wind all day, but so far, no snow......

It seems that February is a time of awful weather everywhere. Here in Brisbane , Australia it has been horribly hot - 36C - a real scorcher!! We're hoping for cooler weather soon.
Cheers

The same here, Weaver. The mud of the week has frozen and is being covered with a light covering of snow. The column of liquid on the thermometer outside the window is slipping down. I think I'll pop out and bring it inside to warm it up a bit!!

It is only a little bit of snow, let's not get over dramatic about it, and it is February.
