It's Mug Monday!

Couldn't have come at a more convenient time - I am very busy with old friends coming to stay later today, so Tesco is calling loud and clear!

This is my favourite mug. It was bought for me by my God-daughter at Christmas and it more or less sums up my philosophy of life. It is, by the way, an Emma Bridgewater mug.

Enjoy your morning cup of coffee (and the piece of cake).

Oooooooooooooh what a great idea!
Looking forward to having a cuppa with you one Sunday! We headed to the coast yesterday as we only had a couple of hours!

Lots of love

I have that on a cake tin, or something similar. I love the font in particular.

I entirely endorse these sentiments! What a lovely mug. Wish we were joining you all for the coffee and cake. Happy Mug Monday, Weaver.

Substitute TEA for coffee and my sentiments exactly!

I like your mugs in fact I like all mugs. Much more my style than dainty teacups. I have a cupboard full of all kinds of mugs ranging from Czech sunflowers to Welsh dragons - at this very moment I'm drinking my coffee from a mug with a picture of a 1965 Porsche on it. It was a freebie at an Austrian Autobahn Services!

I heartily endorse those sentiments Weaver, but have to do without the cake as I have been advised to lose some weight. You have my piece for me. Enjoy your friends' visit.

That is a very good mug
and it looks like it would hold a lot of coffee.

Your mug is awesome! If not a book, then coffee and a good blog or group of bloggers with neat ideas. I'm glad I stopped by. Thanks for sharing.

I'm off to have a cup of coffee on the beach in Los Angeles. Alas, I won't be drinking out of my favorite mug!

Hello Weaver - love the mug - just popping up also to say I've made a comment on your 5th June posting about the Diary of a Farmer's Wife.

Having enjoyed admiring another Emma Bridgewater design in a Mug Monday blog, I must do a little research. How lovely to have a god daughter who knows you well enough to give you such a nice gift with such appropriate sentiments so boldly expressed. Now I'm curious about how the potters get the images inside the mug. Maybe Acornmoon will know.

I am participating in this meme! Finally I was able to get one posted on the day it was scheduled! Is this meant to be for several weeks? Or just for one Monday? I have very much enjoyed reading your blog! ( I especially loved your Blast from the Past..and I WILL do that one soon!)
Your little border terrier is a love! Wasn't this the breed that Alf Wight favored? Also, if I could live anywhere I wished, I rather suspect I would just take a farm in the Dales. Thank you for this lovely idea!

How do you manage to get 20 comments about a mug picture??
I blog to an empty hall most of the time.

The philosophy of life, all wrapped up, Weaver!

I haven't any cake. Pooh! I do have some good books and the cup of coffee (freshly brewed in my Bodum).

Your mug is great!

This would have been my favourite cup too! Thanks for your visits! I wish you came to have a real cuppa! I came home today after a lovely week in France.

Thank you for co-hosting such a fun event. It's really been fun finding beauty in unexpected places.

I have added some on my blog, not as nice as yours though. I love the sentiment, nothing nicer on a cold day like this but I will have to forgo the cake.

A sentiment I thoroughly agree with, especially the cake part. Mug Monday has been very enjoyable, giving us all a peep at each others home/work space without anyone having had to tidy up for visitors! Thank you for hosting this enjoyable e-event.

What a nice mug. You have a lovely blog. This is my first visit. I hope to have many more.

I love that Bridgewater design - covet a cereal bowl in a local shop but I think I'll wait until I'm in England sometime and bring it home as a souvenire.
As so many others have said - you are fortunate to have such a thoughtful goddaughter. What a lovely gift!
So you've been to Cape Breton - home of my heart. This coast looks much more rugged than the east coast, but it is, in fact much gentler, especially the weather!

I love mugs Weaver and have a great assortment but I still look at them when I visit a store! You can never have too many, I say and love the look of yours, it's a good size too, an essential element.

So what's with the 'Mug Monday!' Is it a new idea of yours? Can anyone join? I've never done any of these 'Cactus Tuesday' or 'Skywatch whatever day'. I don't really know how they work....
